I'll say this, Cruz is like a pitbull, not as fast, but tenacious. He's got that tough leather skin.

Cruz fought a great fight, but unfortunately for him a sub-par Davis still has enough in terms of ring expertise and sheer class to beat him. The way the judges saw it was fine with me.

Some fighters give others problems. Styles make fights. Cruz is not a boxer but a pressure fighter. Davis is the better boxer. Can Ryan Garcia connect on Davis before Davis connects on him?

Cruz, get rid of that parasite Gibbons. No wonder he's out here thanking #48. Foh. Not tuning in for this guy until Gibbons is gone.

You could say a “star was born” if Cruz had better than average power with just one ko in last 6.

Since Linares does not want that work, Haymon and Gibbons should try to get Michel Rivera vs. Issac Crus for the WBA eliminator! Glad to see people finally give Pitbull his props! He lost the fight, but he won the fans!

Jorge Linares has his options for one final shot at a major title. The former three-division titlist was ordered by the World Boxing Association (WBA) to begin

Cruz fought like a real DOG in there! He made a case for himself and didn't come to lay down AT ALL! I'm thankful that he showed up and made it a fight instead of collecting his check and going home. Big moment for the Pitbull and more to come!

Gervonta Davis vs Isaac Cruz highlights and results: Tank Davis wins decision, knockout streak ends against Isaac Cruz
                  By Scott Christ
                  December 6, 2021

Gervonta Davis lost his knockout streak, but kept his unbeaten record with a narrow and very competitive decision win over Isaac Cruz tonight in front of 15,850 fans in Los Angeles on Showtime pay-per-view.

Davis (26-0, 24 KO) won the fight on scores of 115-113, 115-113, and 116-112, with Bad Left Hook also scoring the fight 115-113 in his favor. It was a gritty win in the end, as Davis suffered a clear left hand injury that had an obvious affect on him late in the bout, and “Tank” was forced to fight the 12th round with just his right hand, jabbing and moving and, admirably, winning the round.

It would be tough to find a way to actually score the fight in favor of Cruz (22-2-1, 15 KO), but tougher still to not come away from it knowing that this is a legitimate contender in the 135 lb division, and not someone who should be taken lightly by anybody. He marched forward, didn’t show any fear of Davis, but did show respect, especially early, and did not fight recklessly with his pressure, which also enabled him to catch Davis in some lulls and land good shots throughout the fight.

Davis is very confident, Un afraid and smart. He fought injured going into the fight and aggravated it around the 5th or 6t round. He did what he had to do and that’s find a way to win
