Why the hate for Devin Haney?

So basically Haney deserves criticism but Loma doesn’t? And hasn’t Haney been trying to clear up the WBC belt confusion for three years? Everyone else just spouts the same “email champion “ nonsense and people go along with it because they don’t like Devin.

My thought is that if people don’t like Haney then they should want one of the top guys to come knock him out.

Lomachenko can take criticism for not pushing back on the franchise stuff, makes no difference to me.

Absolutely not. I’ve never even posted in support of Wilder or Joshua and I only talk d about lopez in regards to him exposing the hype job Loma.

I will admit that I was exaggerating earlier tho. Some of my fav fighters have lost to some Mexican and Whites. Very rarely and usually at the end of their careers waaay past prime but it has happened.

Haney gets hated because he is avoided by every other top LW. As such those boxers fans have to devalue or degrade him to justify their favorites avoiding him.

And no it isn’t just Loma. Tank, Teo, and Ryan are all avoiding him as well.

I see this “he gets a lot of hype” lie being used as justification for the hate. Where’s all this hype? He’s not on any p4p lists and he doesn’t get any mainstream push from media. Where’s all this hype? He doesn’t get “too much” hype y’all are just a bunch of haters with ulterior motives outside of boxing and that that makes you resent a fighter like him for getting ANY hype even tho hyping yourself as much as you can is part of the game.

You want to talk about a fighter with too much hype then look no further than the non American lomachenko who’s still overhyped even after being exposed. Still on p4p lists with a 15-2 record and his best win coming years ago. Now that the kind of overhyping that having the right look gets you yet none of you have an issue with that.

If you aren't aware of all the hype, then you've been living under a rock. And no boxer, outside of a handful, are talked about on mainstream media. Boxing is not a mainstream media sport. So I don't even know what the hell you are raving about.

When the day comes where someone being honest is called hate, then you know the accuser has lost touch with reality. You, Goldie, have lost touch with reality. Haney is so overhyped that he's used to **** on other good boxers, boxers such as Gary Russel. Russel actually is a fantastic boxer. He's better than Haney, but then everyone says he ducked Haney and used his name for clout. If Russel and Haney fought, I'm pretty sure Russel would beat Haney. If Haney fought Lomachenko, Loma would clown Haney in the ring.

Like I said, if you have no idea about the Haney Hype-Train, then you've been living on the moon. He might be the most hyped guy in boxing. He has a rabid fanbase right now too, but judging by social media, he lost quite a big of fans after last nights performance. Devon "Pillow-Fist" Haney is not an A level boxer. If he were, with his size advantage, with all of his physical advantages, he should have smoked Diaz. That's what everyone expected. Devon "Huggies" Haney is not an A level boxer. The moment he fights someone with pop, he's done. And I'll come back here to tell you: "I TOLD YOU SO."

BTW: Loma's 15-2 record are almost all title fights and defenses. He's had 14 title fights so far and dominated most of them. Haney has had two, almost getting KO'd in one and looking mediocre in another. And it's Haney's first weight division, so don't even mention Loma and Haney in the same breath.

Perhaps, but I need to see it to know for sure. I like Lomachenko but Kambosos just reminded everyone that fights aren’t won on paper.

Floyd/SRL comparisons. Good boxer. Needs to clean some stuff up but he's definitely not on that level.

Exactly this. I think he’s a decent fighter but he’s comparing himself to those guys and it’s just pure delusion. It’s similar to when AJ talks about Ali and Larry Holmes.
