Not with jin, With Jin its personal feelings over business, She has said that many times especially about Mayweather and Judah in alot of her interviews/blogs she asolutely hate those two and shane was her puppet...Love to see the fight but the fight has lost a lot of steam, Its like watching Roy jones/Hopkins rematch 13 years too late

I don't care what anyone says. A fight between Floyd vs Mosley will sell more PPV's than a fight with Pac vs Cotto.

If Mosley had fought Mayweather directly after the Wright fights, it would've been a huger mistake.

Then he would've had three straight losses.

Why would Mayweather want Mosley at this time, when he had fights with two title-holders coming up, including the recognized champ at 147?

Sure he mentioned him in an interview, but people always talk about possible opponents to build hype. Mayweather had better options at the time. I think he was just keeping the public interest open at the time.

It wouldn't make much sense to fight two eliminator bouts and then just fight someone else instead.

Nah. If you remember - especially in the vid - Roy said "i'd like to see him fighting someone like Zab judah". And Jim was, like, "hmmm".

The chronology you are describing came later.

In fact, Floyd was still pursuing fights in late summer. He said in the Sharmba post-interview "we tried to get fights with tszyu , hatton and some other guys, and they didn't want to fight us. So we took Sharmba."

I remember there was a big article about all the guys who turned down Mayweather at the time (late 2005). I can go find it for you if you are so inclined.

I heard her say that about Zab. And it is true w/ Zab.

There is a great deal of mythology around how tough it is to make a fight with Floyd. Not true.

Think about how fast and quietly FMJ fights get made. Ever hear one of his opponents complain about their purse?

              false

yes it does. Oscar is the boss and he tells mosley what to do.

Otherwise why would he tell Mayweather to go fight Margarito???
cause margo was putting alot of pressure on DLH as well as PBF.

none of them were in a position to demand a bigger purse.

I think I know the article you are talking about. It was from David Mayo, and he was talking about Mayweather telling Top Rank he had a time-table and list of fights he wanted. It was after the Mitchell bout, I believe.

The Bruseles fight was January 2005, PBF's 2nd eliminator for the WBC 140 lb. belt. Gatti fought in that month too, against Leija.

Like I said, after winning two straight eliminator bouts, why fight someone else? He fought Gatti on his first PPV main event in June 2005. Then came the other stuff I was talking about.

But again, why would it be a huge mistake for Mosley to elect not to fight Mayweather in the summer of 2005, if he did get an offer?

IMO, he would've lost again, for his third straight defeat. That's not good for his career.

I want to see good matchups, but I also can't knock a guy for rebuilding either at a rough patch in his career.

Agree!! nice to see a post from you not working Cotto's shaft too

But anyway ts its not his big mistake, his big mistake was was fighting the likes of Winky/Forrest while others like Hoya/Trinidad dodged them (Trinidad till way later). Simply cause they were extreme high risk low reward fights. Shane could have gone through out his career with 0 loses an still have a stacked resume with some better matchmaking.

Guy was being talked up with the likes on Leonard, dont get me wrong he is still an ATG imo, but just not one of the very top ones unless he does something special (still possible)

                      Osca? Ricky?

Seriously... when's the last time you heard a Mayweather negotiation falling apart. Not a speculation like Arum floats. But an actual negotiation? I can't think of one.

Floyd developed that reputation (deservedly so) for some ****** words when he called a USD 14 Mn HBO contract "slave wages". That was insensitive and ****** on many levels.

But since that time, he has been easy to deal with. Ask Schaefer.
