Seriously... when's the last time you heard a Mayweather negotiation falling apart. Not a speculation like Arum floats. But an actual negotiation? I can't think of one.

Floyd developed that reputation (deservedly so) for some ****** words when he called a USD 14 Mn HBO contract "slave wages". That was insensitive and ****** on many levels.

But since that time, he has been easy to deal with. Ask Schaefer.

Common opponents Hatton and De la hoya, Mayweather reach a deal with both without a single fight over Purse, weight, ring etc, Pacquiao fought both over all of the above.

Thats why i have said previously that people suggesting Mayweather is the greedy one who might stop the pacquiao fight from happening are delusional.

But you are right. That deal did not get done.

I don't mind that at all.
I don't mind it that much either, but Mosley is the one that wants the big time fights. Berto is an alright fight, but that is not a huge fight and it would be a very dangerous fight. Some people like to **** on Berto but he has what it takes to give Mosley hell and I could easily see Mosley getting beat.

I think Foyd would beat him rather easily at this point also but atleast he would have an extra 8-9 million in his bank account for the L.

Yeah. Nas was Ricky before Ricky was Ricky. Nas packed the Garden for Kelley...right?

Still, a black man using the words 'slave wages' will always be inflammatory.

Really? Does HBO have that many WCB dates lined up?

I think Clottey would fare better than Berto against Mosley.

From a business standpoint, I think Berto is a better fight for Mosley to take. Also from a boxing standpoint it is still pretty good although I think Clottey is the better fighters.

I can see Clottey giving Mosley hell with his blocking defense and counters, and then cutting Mosley with his head, and being ahead after 6 or 7 rounds when the fight is stopped on cuts, before Clottey goes into his late-fight collapse.

Marquez has been chasing a Pac fight for 18 months. 3 weeks after he mentions Joy's name, the deal is done.

                I'm just saying.

Yeah, I forgot all about the 52/48, 51.5/48.5 crazines with Pac's negotiations.

Naz did for the lower weights more than Arum, GPB, King, Goosen Combined. He got them paid.

Shane talking about a day at the dentist like its Chemotharapy. Normally when you go to the dentist you work the following day. FLoyd was willing and ready and Shane wasn't. And the go fight Margarito talk is Ironic considiring Floyd got paid vs Hatton and De La Hoya while Shane fought Margarito.

                  Shane Can't fight 1x a year he isn't Hopkins.

I think it was Dan Rafeal what was talking about that. He said HBO said the 26th was for Mosely-Clottey after they moved him off the 5th for Williams Pavlik, but HBO seems to not want that now and wants Mosley to move back to the 30th of January.

If Mosley has to wait that long why not see what Floyd has to say if he gets by JMM cleanly. I know thats what I would do anyways, because Berto is a dangerous fight at this point for Sugar Shane.

I think they both give Shane a lot of problems. I think Shane would beat Clottey because I think Clottey will jsut find a way to fall short like he always does, but Clottey is not a fighter one can look good against.

With Berto that is a more interesting because the fight could actually be good and Shane could possibly knock him out. I know Berto can go 12 full hard rounds I doubt that Mosley could. I think it could go either way, but from a business standpoint HBO would probably like taht fight much more then the Clottey fight considering what they have invested in Berto, and it would be sink or swim time for him basically.
