He is however, a Hall of Famer which is still a huge accomplishment.

I don’t make the rules, bud, I just work here.

You really want me to list all of Chavez’ best wins, world titles, and accomplishments just because you’re hurt that GGG isn’t in the same league? Are you really going to resort to saying that Golovkin had a better career than JC freakin Chavez?
Where'd you go with those top wins for Chavez Sr?

Canelo is fighting great right now. He is probably juiced to the gills but you can't hate on his performances lately. His last 2 wins are his most impressive wins to me.

It’s such a power punch that he knocked down and wobbled Canelo every time it landed. GGG’s jab can like KO Superman himself.

          Yeah.

            Yeah.
It's a really good punch man. It noticeably lands quite often. You see the fighter react to it - easy to score.

The jab is a really good punch. It’s an essential punch. Boxers need to perfect the jab, it sets up power punches. Any coach who does not stress how important the jab is to their 8 year old, new little boxer, is setting them up for failure.

But like they say, too much of anything will hurt you.

A scenario where the jab does not actually help you win rounds, is when that is essentially all you throw.

Throwing a jab, to set up another jab, followed by another jab, is not going to help vs a guy who is throwing and landing power punches on you.

With occasional jabs here and there, thrown only for show. Canelo averaged throwing 20ish, jabs per round vs GGG. He also averaged around 30 power punches thrown per round.

GGG avoiding to throw too many power punches, to avoid opening up to counters. This will be obvious to judges, and it will do more harm than good. All you are going to do is look scared and look like you lack confidence.

Abel Sanchez was fired after telling announcers and fans in post fight, that GGG did not follow the gameplan at all. According to Sanchez and GGG in pre-fight, we were going to see a “Mexican style” war, a “Big drama show”. Instead we saw Canelo come forward, and GGG backing up and leisurely throwing jabs like this was an unimportant amateur fight.

I thought GGG controlled both fights man. No offense but all that psychobabble is what I hear from Canelo fans when they try to get him wins in those fights.

All I score is rd by rd, who is landing the better punches/more punches. GGG did that in about 8 rounds in each fight. He just outworked Canelo. All there was to it.

no. it wasn't. about as clear as a 8-4 9-3 fight as you will get. if you are talking about the rematch then yea that was a 7-5 / draw either way fight. [/QUOTE

8 rounds in each fight. Far too generous to ggg in my opinion. Two close fights

They are used for cutting, which indicates that he cycled something else that needed him to cut extra weight. Rematch he comes in bigger, and trying to walk GGG down.

Remember two years before after he beat Cotto, he said he was too small for middle weight, now hes like yeah, let me fight at Cruiser weight?

Yeah, bodies don't just grow like that naturally.
