If I don't even allow you to throw punches, how good is my defense? Do I get credit for that?
If you want to talk about clean, hard punching - there is hardly a punch in boxing right now that lands harder and cleaner than GGG's jab. So if that's what you're focusing on, be sure to remember that when you're scoring for the other guy.
That's the problem with trying to come up with a new scoring system every fight, to try and get your guy the win lol. You tie yourself in knots.

Both fights played out the same way. The first 4 or so rounds were tight and pretty even, Canelo's speed and quickness helps to neutralize GGG's workrate. Then as the fight goes on, Canelo slows down, and GGG settles in, and starts to pile up rounds. The last couple of rounds in each fight are competitive again when Canelo gets a 2nd wind to end the fight.
Canelo threw plenty of punches, 505 to be exact landing 169
No doubt ggg has a great jab and used it well in the fight but at the same time he only landed 30%.
Im not coming up with a new scoring system to get my guy to win. I use the 4 criteria, 1. Clean effective punching. 2. Ring generalship. 3. Effective aggression 4. Defence.
Firstly canelo is not my guy. Secondly I didn't have him winning. I scored it a draw. It was a close fight. Not a 9-3. If u have ggg winning by a couple of rounds I can see that, as there were some rounds that were very close.
Oh and on your last point about both fights playing out the same way. I disagree.
Canelo was more assertive in the second fight and G was slightly more tentative. Another close fight.
What was your scorecard for the first fight?

You don't need to give your opinions on how you scored fights. You obviously have no idea what you're doing.
In fact in rounds 3,4,5,6 combined kovalev landed 1 more punch than ward so how can u say kovalev dominated the first have of the fight???

Did you watch the fight? It was embarrassing for Ward in the first half of the fight. He was getting battered around the ring. Getting him more than 4 rounds in that fight, you have to really really look for them. And that's not the point.
To say he got battered around the ring is nonsense in my opinion.
Rd 1 was close but kovalev took it with that jab that staggered ward
R2 no need for a discussion
Now show me where in rounds 3,4,5 and 6 where Ward got "battered around the ring" and I'll be happy to look at the tape.

What was your scorecard for the first fight?
1.) They were geeked that GGG was going to beat Bhops record.
2.) They loved the fact that Ward and GGG never happened dating from 2013.
3.) They needed Canelo to swerve attention away that
GGG was ever moving up or face Ward.
4.) They too hickajed LDBC narratives that because Canelo lost to Floyd, then surely a guy like GGG could.
5.) Mexican fighters are a high standard, so the “white boys” (with many bandwagoning off PAC), wanted a EE guy to beat a Mexican. That’s normal…
6.) They exploited Caneloweight of 155 to distract that GGG still wasn’t moving up, so helped fuel that narrative from all opposing forces.
7.) These anti Mexican fans loved to troll a different ethnic group that coined “Mexican style,” and they mystically made GGG the protagonist between the two.
8.) Canelo since 2014 would always make news to helping the poor or those in need, and yet they still wanted to troll GGG as the protagonist, exploiting different fanbases like the LDBC from like the CJ Ross instance. So keep in mind Canelo or Mexican boxing has always had multiple opposing fan bases, all copying one another to discredit a particular.
9. Many were dumbfounded that Canelo fought like SRL in GGG 1. Canelo sacrificed a previous style while GGG rejected his previous style. One fought more surprisingly than the other, for example, GGG just then jabs and didn’t comment to “Mexican style.”
10. GGG fans then said, “no need for Mexican style.. this is boxing” etc.. meaning they don’t own up that judges too absorb characters and what they say…
11. Canelo’s PED fiasco. Regardless that WADA amended Clenbuterol in 2019, they exploit that instance to discredit anything in the series.
12. Canelo gives the fans what they want in GGG 2, yet Golovlin again, didn’t sell the Mexican style he promoted. GGG fans still exempted it.
the reality is, and I tell posters all the time, Canelo’s proto to mid year legacy ages like fine wine even though he’s operating Ultra Elite now. Meaning, as I said before, Canelo will get benefit of doubt in future replay for how he CHOSE to fight GGG. I box, and others too, as well as many know that boxers have continuity in their fights, whereas Canelo has done leaps in styles. That’s not easy to do by a long shot. That’s where the benefit of doubt will always favor Canelo in the GGG series. He fought him twice! The boxing schools or gyms in the future will study Canelo’s strategies in fighting GGG, not the other way around. Why? Because GGG fought conservatively against Canelo vs his previous killer style. Canelo on the other hand, again, leaps in styles.
so to Canelo haters this is a nightmare right before their eyes. I don’t know why don’t embrace greatness. The problem Is that many fans don’t put on gloves themselves. It takes years to be ultra elite.Last edited by Thuglife Nelo; 11-30-2021, 07:16 AM.

Here’s what you have to prep for, the circumstances that brought them into the fight which justifies their dogmatic POV on the series. I’ll try and do this in chronological order to best explain this. Your justification is what we’ve been saying for years but you need to add ****e to it since it’s an emotional sport.
