Congratulations on writing a very well thought out essay. But, I don't understand your degree of anger here. Instead of choosing to enlighten me, you clearly got emotional in your response, which is what I would expect to see from a fan like myself. See I can admit that my viewpoint is skewed because I, like boxing fans yourself, are never completely unbias. I wrote this thread in response to what I felt was unjustified hate towards Canelo. You brought up some very valid points, and like I mentioned in the beginning of my post which I see you must not have read, I'm on the forum to grow my understanding of the sport. I would love to go post for post against you but I don't have the time I wish I had to do that. So, I'll address a few quick points and leave it there. I can admit that using the word terrible is harsh in reference to Andrades performance against Liam Williams. But Andrade didn't look like an elite fighter that I thought he was in that fight. What I mean is, he was getting hit with slow, obvious punches that staggered him, from a guy who consistently squared his stance, and keep following him around the ring. That was ALL night, plus Andrade obviously gassed late, and not to throw shade at Williams, but Williams wasn't applying intelligent pressure, like a Canelo or David Benavidez do. I believe your a boxing veteran so should be able to know that, even if Andrade never lost more than 4 rounds, that doesn't mean the fight wasn't close or that he couldntve looked bad. Think, if every round is closely contested but one guy manages to eek out most of the rounds, that doesn't mean the guy didn't look bad nor does it mean the fight wasn't a close fight.Thread is clown shìt. It's not one that is even keeled & you can tell btw it's written. "How long has Andrade and Charlo been in or around the same division." Excuse me? These dudes can't be serious. You DO realize Canelo has been in them same divisions as well. He pretty much only HASN'T been in the same divisions for 2 years & get this, even when he wasn't he still held a belt there.
The thread is allegedly based off "worthy accomplishments" but I see personal rhetoric as well. So let me tell the truth from ppl who actually watch boxing & not skim through it. Culcay was a regular world champion by definition. Andrade has never had 1 boxing match, I repeat 1 boxing match in which he has lost 4 rounds. But he's looked "terrible" if you let "them" tell it.
Did Mayweather tell them never take a fight in which people thought you could lose? Because they've done that. So we've established Floyd didn't tell them that & you've lied to the people. Floyd doesn't even have anything to do with this. He is his own individual. When people correlate the so called scared of losing their "O" with Floyd. It shows their lack of knowledge & due diligence.
The fact that all 3 of these dudes started at 54 & none of them fought is EXTREMELY coincidental, too coincidental if you catch my drift. Canelo (soon to be) has found time to be in 5 different divisions. BUT he hasn't found time to fight two guys he's spent the majority of his career in the same divisions with. Make it make sense. You dudes don't play Devil's Advocate enough.
The biggest takeaway from this thread & what often gets omitted when talking about a dude like Canelo is: opportunity. If Canelo gets all the opportunities he wants when he wants. & his rivals get a fraction of that. How can you not see that's by DESIGN. Aww man I could be here all day on this one. Canelo got GGG to fight him in his 1st fight at 60. Andrade been tryna fight GGG since after Andrade's 1st fight at 60. The difference between opportunity & lackthereof. I advise you to ponder this because I can be here all day with this one. All i can say is boxing sure does look different when you pick who you give & don't give opportunity to.
I guess the Bucks ain't deserve to play the Suns this year either lol. Demetrius Andrade is the most avoided fighter in boxing. How does he have to "deserve" a fight with a guy who's been maneuvering around him strategically? How does the so called best fighter in world let that guy live as an undefeated champion (in 2 divisions for the better part of 10 years) unscathed? If Andrade doesn't "deserve" to fight Canelo, than I guess neither did Canelo's last opponent cause he was in absolutely NO, different position Andrade was before he got the fight!
Since when do champions have to "deserve" to fight champions? I'll answer that, since promoters said so & promoted certain fans from fans to fanagers. As long as Charlo & Andrade are undefeated but particularly regarded in the conversation of "the best" they "deserve" to fight the best. When you say Charlo & Andrade don't "deserve" you give Canelo more power in saying Fielding & Cruiserweight dude "deserve" it.
On to what you said ab Mayweather, which I can see you're a Mayweather fan like myself, I never said that Floyd told them to do anything, which implies that you sir lied. I said thanks to Floyd, not Floyd said. Floyd is an influencer, the highest paid boxer in history. He knows that he's influencing the next generation of fighters. So by him dodging certain fighters and choosing not to fight them, and by him being successful, it's making the next generation believe they can become successful, which they have, by avoiding the tough challenges and fighting subpar comp.
Anyways, Im about to enjoy some Turkey tomorrow and I hope you do the same. Good day!

There is literally no justification what so ever for Andrade deserving the Canelo fight. Zero.
He has beaten absolutely no one of any note. He’s barely beaten any ranked fighters.
Charlo has more of an argument, but there are way better opponents out there.Last edited by IronDanHamza; 11-24-2021, 10:26 PM.Comment

andrade has even less power LMAO...
But those champions that Canelo fought were weak champions. Plant is skilled, but he has no power. Smith fought like he was weak and afraid. BJS is skilled too, but with 14 Ko's in 30 wins, he's no power puncher. Andrade is an anomaly. He's a lefty, awkward and unorthodox. Charlo is long, tall, strong and skilled. Canelo wants no part of either of them.Comment

Because they are UNDEFEATED CHAMPIONS. They were CHAMPIONS at 154 when Canelo entered witness protection to avoid them. They were CHAMPIONS at 160 when Canelo entered witness protection to avoid them.Comment
