Why’s Wilder getting praised for the savage beating he took?

    Wilder beats AJ too though.

AJ isn't the fleet of foot boxer than Fury can be.

AJ also has much less heart and much less punch resistance than Fury.

Ruiz < Wilder for raw power.

Wilder gets AJ out of there in the 5th round. That s/hit Wilder hit Fury with, AJ wouldn't get up from. He doesn't have the heart to do so.

I would favour Fury over AJ, but I fully expect Fury to look much more unremarkable and beatable once he starts fighting other top ranked HWs. All this "oh Wilder so brave for surviving" stuff is not going to age well when Fury doesnt put anything remotely close to those beatdowns on anybody else, and it'll age extra bad if Fury actually gets dropped by someone else too.

I understand Americans need a HW in the mix but Wilder has always been a bum with exaggerated power. And everything got exposed by Fury who’s also a fraud to an extent.

Just pump the brakes with the madness and let these two take on the top contenders like AJ has done throughout his career to see how good they’re.

        Wilder vs Ruiz
        Fury vs Whyte
        Wilder vs Helenius
        Fury vs Hunter

I want to see these fights next year pending what happens between AJ and Usyk
All Wilder has been crying out for for all these months is a fair shake, so he can have the stage and opportunity to die on his sword. Saturday his life long ambition was achieved. He fell face first on his right hand and he will be remembered. God bless him

Incredibly disrespectful When has AJ hit the canvas and stayed down? I admit he has looked absolutely clueless in the ring at times but nothing a change of trainer wont solve.

I see all this talk of Wilder being a Top fighter because he's a Warrior and he's brave. Let me tell you folks about a fighter I'm a fan of that's brave and a Warrior. His name is Ricky Burns. He fought Raymundo Beltran and got a broken Jaw in the 2nd round. He fought on. He was dropped heavily in round 8 and he fought on. He saw the final bell. He retained his title that night with a draw. How he done this is beyond me. And Ricky was a good world champion but not a great one. Not an elite. But his durability and bravery is truly elite class. He is a true warrior. Someone said to me Ricky deserved to win that night for his bravery. But the truth is, no, he did not deserve to win. He was outboxed and should have lost his title. As much of a fan as I am I will be honest and not lie about wether he should have won, or his ability levels just because he is brave and a warrior.Wilder is a warrior without question. He'd proven that before he even stepped in a ring with Fury when he battled through fights he nearly lost against Eric Molina and Johann Duhaupas. And he proved it again an Saturday night for sure. But let's not exaggerate his abilities as a Boxer based on his his bravery. He is limited. Always has been and always will be.

i truly believe that as bad technically as Wilder is if he faces AJ he wins in a brutal fashion. Just because when he lands oh and he will land. AJ is gonna do his lil buckle dance and it will spell the beginning of the end. AJ and Wilder should both get an in between fight to get them back on track and then all the heavy's fight on the same card. AJ vs Wilder and Fury vs Usyk for undisputed....Wishful thinking hahaha

Man, this fight's really exposing who the real boxing fans are and who are just bitter trolls and attention whores.
And...the people who are, just guys that celebrate fighters that look like them.

I guess you believe in Wilder more than he believes in himself because he was offered $120 to do it but he rejected it for $7m to fight Fury.
