Why’s Wilder getting praised for the savage beating he took?

I honestly don’t understand boxing fans. A bum who was elevated to “elite” status based on hype/narrative despite not fighting anyone got exposed 3 times and beaten to a pulp by the only decent boxer he has ever faced - yet people still think he’s “elite” and are praising him for taking a savage beating.

I understand Americans need a HW in the mix but Wilder has always been a bum with exaggerated power. And everything got exposed by Fury who’s also a fraud to an extent.

Just pump the brakes with the madness and let these two take on the top contenders like AJ has done throughout his career to see how good they’re.

    Wilder vs Ruiz
    Fury vs Whyte
    Wilder vs Helenius
    Fury vs Hunter

I want to see these fights next year pending what happens between AJ and Usyk

As awful as Wilder is as a boxer, I think he beats AJ.

Deontay WIlder fought with passion, and left in all in the ring.

Anthony Joshua vs Usyk gave a good effort, but did he honestly leave it all in the ring? Could he have fought with a tad more passion?

Even Joshua himself has stated that, he can box 20 times better.

Deontay Wilder even in a loss, has gained credit.

If he believes that, he wouldn’t have run from $120m and kept talking about dangerous boxing is.

AJ stops him brutally in 3.

I think anyone who does their very best but comes up short still deserves respect. You can't win them all but he impressed people with his determination and grit imo.
Shame he is such a bad and ungracious loser, taints his reputation

Wilder won’t last 5 rds in the ring with Usyk.

You can leave it in the ring when getting punched by a feather fisted guy that hits wide and sloppy. He won’t last 3 rds with anyone landing on his face.

I think Helenius sparks Wilder as well.

But is he as good as advertised?

His selling power was his power and Fury showed that he doesn’t punch as hard as he’s being marketed.

So what’s his selling point now? - his heart? There are loads of bums out there with heart and he’s not different from them apart from having a good narrative as the American hypejob.

I don't understand boxing fans throwing the word "bum" around against guys they dislike, even when the guy had multiple successful title defences, an olympic medallist and a guy with far more wins than losses. Don't like wilder? Just say so. It's not hard.

Hang on. This forum tells me Joshua has no tank and gasses early. That in the later rounds he didn't have the energy against Usyk.

Isn't that leaving it all in the ring?

Or do you mean he didn't take a savage beating and get knocked out?

Is that what makes a top fighter?
