Wilder and AJ would have both been knocked out by prime Haye.

Let's not forget that Haye was a huge favourite v Fury as well when they were supposed to fight, and that was a past prime Haye.

He let himself down v Wlad, but he was certainly no mug.

Wilders power is the real deal, no doubt. But he barely wins any rounds because he has difficulty landing the right (or any shots) due to having such poor technique and balance.

If Fury's and Ortiz's evasiveness was a problem for Wilder, then Hayes evasiveness is an absolute nightmare scenario for him.

Say what you will about David Haye, he did lack killer instinct v the big guys, but he was incredibly difficult to land on and was a superb counter puncher. You can see on the YouTube video the issues Wilder had with Haye.
Wilder will never out box anyone. Combos are not his thing.
That being said, he seems to get the job done 98% of the time.

Think about it. Everyone knows what to expect and yet the results are the same.
Haye will be too egotistical to stay out of harms way.

Yeah Haye gets wildly overrated. He had one good win vs Mormeck. His HW run was a joke too.

            Wilder stops him IMO.

I would have won so much money betting on Fury if Haye didn’t pull out. He was 9/2 to stop Haye I believe, literally printing money that.

I'm not sure you've see a Haye fight in his prime!

Wilder can't win fights by boxing, he's doesn't have the balance. Reality is, he actually hasn't faced anyone decent who could fight 12 rounds.
Someone like Usyk and Haye just wouldn't get hit and would offset his balance constantly. And Haye particularly had power and speed that would punish any missed shots, especially if Wilder was off balance. He's always looking to dodge and counter.

Nightmare matchup for Wilder. He's better off facing taller, more static opponents who aren't looking to counter missed shots.

Who was Haye's best HW win and do you think Wilder could have beaten that guy ?

The same question could be asked of Wilder! He doesn't have any good heavyweight wins, sorry.

You could argue that Wilder wins if you want. But you're arguing that Haye wasn't evasive and that his ego would make him trade, or that he doesn't have power.

All completely untrue if you actually watch his fights. Don't worry about boxrec.

The man talked far too much, but skill and power were never his issue.

Anyone of any height and size can beat Wilder. I am not sure why Fury is being praised so much.

                      Sarcasm.
