All that matters is who the judges are - where it's held doesn't matter in the least, provided they pick neutral judges with good reputations. Giving Mosley a veto over the judges and the ref would have solved that problem. Mosley could have insisted on that veto, but he didn't really want to fight Cotto.

    • Cotto beat Floyd Mayweather? this is the dude who barely beat Paulie Malignaggi and Joshua Clottey? Apart from beating Sugar Shane on an off day who has he beat of any substance? Zab Judah who come off 2 Loses and a no contest. Come on get real

Cotto fan's are the most dillusional Fan's in boxing thinking he will beat Pacquaio and Floyd where do u dream these things up? he has a chance against Pacquaio but not much, he has no or little chance against Floyd

Forget what anybody says, Margarito beat Cotto fair and square, took the number one spot, and then god DESTROYED by Shane which gives him the spot. I'll take a razor thin loss, and then a domanant ruthless KO win over the number one guy over a razor thin win and a career ending ass kicking loss any day.
Stiles make fights, you are not going to look good in every fight. That said, Cotto and Mosley was very close. Mosley is a great fighter, he comes to fight and he can take a punch. Cotto won that fight, I was there. Cotto won 115-113 so it was very close. Cotto fought Clottey with a gash, a gash that many fighters would have quit after the fourth round. Cotto continue to fight and won that fight, not a great performance for many individuals, but considering the circumstances, I think he did a hell of alot. Clottey could have pressed the fight and continue picking at the eye, until Cotto would have quit. Many feel that it was not a great performance from Cotto, but he fought with a huge gash and did enough to win. Not every fight he is going to win with a KO, he is fighting the best. I remember many here felt he did not have a chance against Clottey. Can anyone here say that it was a robbery? That Clottey did so much better than Cotto that they stole the fight from him? No. In one round, he spent the whole round on the ropes, while Cotto was throwing punches throughout the complete round. They all might not have landed, but to some judges, which by the way did maybe two did not have a clear view, Clottey was just laying on the ropes, while Cotto was swinging away.

          • But the constant rant that he's the No. 1 welterweight in the world and the accompanying whine that every fighter within 10 pounds seems to be avoiding him is getting old.
he has not fought quite enought at WW lately

Cotto beating PBF is yet to be seen. Correct on barely beating Clottey but he did it with a cut for 9 rounds that many would had quit. Zab Judah was KOed and Mosley on an off day is just your opinion (i beleive your wrong here to), but to say that Cotto barely beat Paulie is totally wrong.

And you talk about "dillusional". COME ON GET REAL

He should've demolished Cotto. He might have shaken some people, but Cotto fought him already. He lost to Cotto, plain and simple. It was a case of who wanted it more. Mosley should have knocked him the way he knocked Margo, specially since fighting at MSG. If you know you are not going to get a fair decision, you woop that ass, like you wooped Margo. Why he did not do it? because he could not do it. Simple, Cotto won end of story. Wether it was very, very close, he lost, plain and simple.
