The juice isn't worth the squeeze with Mikey. He's been with Top Rank, PBC and now fighting as a free agent with Matchroom.

I enjoy him as a fighter, but haven't been a fan of his career path for a few years now.

Will pass on any Mikey Garcia fight at this point…boring safety 1st fighter who never was one to “go to war” in the ring!

Something people seem to forget is that Eddie also stated it's because Mikey Garcia is not under a matchroom contract and Prograis is not a Matchroom fighter, so he would rather spend the money elsewhere.

Chris "Primetime" Colbert & Xavier Martinez at 130, Tank, Michael "Ali" Rivera, and Issac "Pitbull" Goinzalez-Cruz at 135! Not bad!

Yes I think if your one of those other guys it looks not bad, especially with the carrot of Gervonta at the top of the list. But if your Gervonta and the pressure is on to be involved in massive fights, then from his point of view it doesn't look so great. Errol and Jermall have divisions with top fights a plenty, but for Davis the top fights are at rivals, and he's gonna receive criticism for not fighting them. Criticism of course that he doesn't deserve as that's on Mayweather and Ellerbe. I like the kid Rivera, although it's early days for him and less sure of him as he got dropped in his last outing. Gervonta with his power would be daunting for him at this time. You didn't mention Rolly lol.

I forgot about Rolly! HAHAHA! I think the pressure is on the WBA! They're ordering everyone with secondary titles to fight, but haven't stepped to Tank yet. I think it's because both Taylor and Teofimo have fights! Tank should fight GRJ and then wait for the order!

He was given a week's extension to choose between the belts he still has, and it seems to be forgotten about. It's frustrating trying to think of who Davis fights next, when we don't even know what division he's gonna operate in lol. I think ( just my little conspiracy theory ) that he'll be left alone to do what he wants, until Teo vacates and then Gervonta vs Rolly will be ordered for the new WBA title. GRJ would be good. I just read that he's got a mandatory. Not Vargas though. Do you know why that is ?

Reymart Gaballo and Mark Magsayo named mandatory challengers to Nonito Donaire and Gary Russell

In the featherweight division, the announcement of Magsayo's upcoming title shot was a mere formality as he was engaged in a WBC title eliminator in the undercard of Manny Pacquiao vs. Yordenis Ugas last August. There, he picked up the biggest win of his career with a come-from-behind knockout of Julio Ceja.

Magsayo's target is now Russell, who has been undefeated since dropping a majority decision loss to Vasyl Lomachenko in 2014. The American fighter won the WBC featherweight belt against Jhonny Gonzalez in 2015 and defended it successfully year-by-year from 2016-20.

Russell has not fought since February 2020 when he decisioned Tugstsogt Nyambayar of Mongolia and there have been rumors that he plans to move up in weight. Nonetheless, the Filipino is undeterred at getting his shot whoever the boxer standing opposite him will be.

"The plan is to fight Russell," shared Magsayo, who is training under the watchful eyes of Freddie Roach, with the assistance of Filipino trainer Marvin Somodio. "But if he moves up in weight, it's also okay for me to fight for a vacant title against anyone."

Garcia is one of the most entitled fighters in the sport. Totally overestimates his worth .
