The biggest boxing match last year was two retired boxers with a combined age of over 100 in an exhibition bout.

Boxing is the ultimate loser in this. Seriously imagine telling someone 15-20 years ago that by the 2020s UFC fighters vs internet stars would be bigger than 99% of boxing matches.
UFC guys are making more in these boxing exhibitions than they did in the UFC. It's a bad look for Dana White and company.

Canelo just set an all-time American indoor record for attendance at a boxing event this year. The health of the sport is fine.

Imagine every other month the UFC brought in a middle aged faded boxer who has never competed in MMA before, put him in the main event of a PPV against some celebrity who is like 4-0 exclusively against random guys from outside MMA, then the UFC bragged about how much they were paying the boxer to be there. And these fights outdrew most legit UFC cards. Would you really consider that to be an indicator of good health?

Boxing is not "dying" but if you compare where it is now to where it was 10 years ago? or 20 years ago? it isnt in a great state. Especially when you contrast the trajectory with MMA over the same time frame. Like I said, imagine telling a boxing fan in like 2001 that this is how the combat sports landscape would look 20 years down the line, they wouldnt believe you.

Fcuk wrestling and submissions, it's boring as fcuk. They do all these weirdo training things like they know more training science than boxers, yet they gas way quicker than boxers do. They don't know shet.

A friend of my owned a mma gym, I did some mma training and got free access to the gym. They were know for training hard, but they were all huffing and puffing after calisthenics. I literally wasn't even breathing and I had been out of the gym for 5 years and just getting back in boxing shape because I wanted to compete again before I got too old. UFC and mmatards, these guys are juiced to the gills. If you think they're great athletes, you're just on the outside looking in, armchair fan.
Not surprised there's almost no money in Kickboxing therefore no talent , trust i feel the same way when it comes to Wrestling but it's still apart of fighting . That's one thing that bothers me as well although i Know there's boxers who pop , in MMA i feel like every card there's someone whose popping. These guys are freaks , no way are they natural.

Jake Paul has now completed UFC, he needs to move on to wrestlers, John Cena and the like, before graduating to face boxers. Nash out

Pretending to be in the know and then talking about MMA fighters gassing because you dont realize grappling and kicks and 5 minute rounds drain cardio much faster than 3 min boxing rounds.

Btw, who is the kickboxing world champ you whipped on? bonus question, why dont you go win a kickboxing world title yourself?

Francois Botha went 4-12 in kickboxing, Mercer got stopped in 20 seconds, Briggs kickboxed an MMA wrestler and although he won he admitted he was one more kick away from hitting the canvas. Nieky Holzken went the distance with Callum Smith in a pure boxing match a few years back. Whyte and Miller were B/C level kickboxers who transitioned to boxing.

Its got a small talent pool, but that doesnt make up for the fact that they can kick and knee and pure boxers have no real defence against it.

Honestly I Wish DAZN or someone would showcase Kick Boxing fights , I prefer Boxing to MMA but if Kick Boxing gets the spotlight who knows . More money coming into the sport the talent will stay .

I'm sure if Whyte and Miller Kickboxed now they'd be much better obviously they kickboxed very early in thier career .
