What I'm curious about is if this happened post Danny Garcia fight or before it? if before it, and presumably from the crash, how TF did the Texas commission clear him?
How the hell is the NSAC trash? They’ve been sanctioning fights forever.

That's what BH and most of us are thinking..

They were hiding this part because it will bring down Spence Stocks..

It makes sense.. It wasn't just a tear.. It was a major issue, a Retinal Detachment. It's Career ending..
Oh stfu. You just thought he was ducking.

You weren't thinking about that all. You thought this was fake so he could duck Manny.

No.. I said there's countless possibilities.. Something is up.. They were holding back info.. Just as BH felt as well...

Then this news came up.. They were holding back this critical piece of news.

It's one thing to have a torn retina. A detached one is a game changer for the worse..

They were trying to hide this fact because it will affect Spence stocks, but since the fans pressured him to come clean.. We now know the gravity of the situation.

He's a broken man. If he ever fights again.. He will not be the same. Crawford is the only one left to take the thrown in the Welterweight and off course Pacquiao.

Good riddance Spence. Rest well.. Rest long.. as you drift away to nothingness....

But if I was Spence. I won't sacrifice my eye sight for a boxing match. I'll make sure it's properly healed. I'll wait for a year, and bounce back.. that is if it's a tear, but this article is saying it's detached.. That's even worse..2-3 yrs minimum.

I even think it's because of him abruptly going back in the fray too early fighting a heavy handed DSG that I now think, caused his eye issue to aggravate.. If he didn't comeback too early he might not have this problem now.

Bottom-line, this is caused by the car accident.. and has spiraled downhill for him.
I mean we just don't know when it happened. Could have happened from the accident but the scary part is you can have a tear and not really even notice it. So he probably fought Danny and didn't feel anything wrong and went along with this camp and still felt fine.

The doctor helped potentially save his career and more importantly his sight.

Pretty sad to be honest. I like Spence. Great fighter and a good human being. Hopefully he fully recovers.

it happened during the accident... what else could have caused this to happen... and he fought danny knowing about the potential of damaging it more! the eye injury was known from the start!

you think after a car crash like that, he wasnt given a full doctor's exam on him before being released??? he was probably told that there is slight damage to his eye and will need surgery to fix it but he probably brushed it off because he was at the height of his career.... aint nobody wants to sit out for who knows how long while they are in their prime and at the top... like i said he was banking on beating manny so that he can have something to ride off on when he comes back from surgery.

I mean he is a freaking boxer that gets punched in the eye for a living...Did Mares get in an accident for him to have a detached retina? How about SRL? I'm not saying this didn't happen from the accident, just saying we don't know.

If he was having problems with his vision, I doubt he would have gone on to face Danny. You don't play with that, especially in boxing. It could be that there is a tear but it is not detached fully and his vision for the most part feels fine to him.

I still think his car crash contributed to his injury. Likely undetected or weakened from the crash. We will never really know. A shame if this is a career ender for him. I was looking forward to potential fights with Manny, Crawford and possibly Charlo at 154. Doesn’t look like that is in the cards now.

Im not sure where unintelligence becomes weirdo, but those people in here are definitely not normal human beings.

When the fight was made i genuinely thought PACMAN would pull this stunt. Not that i don't respect him but who would want that smoke at aged 42.Good luck to PAC on Saturday he is a classy Champion just not looking forward to hearing Pact*ards tell me PACQUIO is gunning for Canelo next, then FURY
