What? You responded to my post a page prior saying this happened during the accident and I said while that is certainly possible, there is no guarantee that's how he suffered his injury. Other fighters have had the same injury as Spence and they got it without being in an accident. This is boxing, when you get hit in the head, face etc, you can suffer injuries.

What I'm telling you is that he maybe didn't even realize he had any issues with the eye since he fought Danny and sparred all camp before this fight....And this all occurred after the accident. And to your question regarding a doctor's exam? Well no, why would he have another eye exam after the Danny fight? If he did and the doctor told him he could not fight, then he wouldn't have even gotten the Manny fight in the first place....Fighters only get these exams before their fights and every commission does their own types of tests.

Then he would have been suspended by the commission for a certain amount of time. So to play devil's advocate, if he passed the exam before and after the Danny fight, wouldn't that mean he didn't suffer an injury during the accident? Since the accident took place before the Danny fight?

You are talking about Spence specifically here, but I'm talking about just fighters in general. And maybe Spence felt fine after the Danny fight and didn't get go to the doctor.....Even if he did, no guarantee he got an eye exam done.

I mean we just don't know when it happened. Could have happened from the accident but the scary part is you can have a tear and not really even notice it. So he probably fought Danny and didn't feel anything wrong and went along with this camp and still felt fine.

The doctor helped potentially save his career and more importantly his sight.

Exactly, when you are looking for the biggest payday of your career. You make sure you are ready for war. A fighter should make sure he's 100% fit to fight.

Not knowing this before signing the Pac fight is just wrong and irresponsible of Spence and his team.. Unprofessional of them.

these foos making excuses!! when you get into a car accident like that... you still have to go get check-ups... i had a small fender bender and i wasnt even hurt but complained about my back (trying to get some money lol) and i had to go for a doctor's check up, up to a year!! so i dont believe that spence didnt get checked until 11 days from the fight. it just doesnt add up... why would you not get a full exam done on you and waited until 11 days out?

Exactly, they were trying to hide it. Brave of Spence to fight with a detached retina, but dumb of him to even consider fighting with that condition to sacrifice his career. There's so many ways to go with this.. But all leads to Spence being DUMB AF.

i've been saying spence and his team knew about it but they were banking on beating pac then they'll take the time off for surgery, etc... they were banking on a win over pac so spence can have leverage over the other WW's when he comes back.

but as the fight got closer, it wasnt looking too good for spence and so they pulled out... because i dont believe that he didnt get a exam done until 11 days out.
