What I'm telling you is that he maybe didn't even realize he had any issues with the eye since he fought Danny and sparred all camp before this fight....And this all occurred after the accident. And to your question regarding a doctor's exam? Well no, why would he have another eye exam after the Danny fight? If he did and the doctor told him he could not fight, then he wouldn't have even gotten the Manny fight in the first place....Fighters only get these exams before their fights and every commission does their own types of tests.
yes, i believe it happened during the accident, look at the photos from the crash, look at his face!!!... but you said it could have happened during the mikey fight or the danny fight...

i am pointing out to you that so spence didnt do any pre-post doctor's exam for the mikey or danny fight?? because it would have been caught during that time...

so then he sign to fight manny, the biggest fight of his career so far.... and he didnt bother to get a pre-exam to see if he's healthy??? so he started training camp, trained all the way until 11 days from the fight and then decided that he need to go get a check up??? the timing is off brah.... something is not adding up here.....

I only mentioned Mikey because you mentioned Mikey....That fight took place before the accident.

They do not do thorough exams after a fight unless the fighter is badly injured. And if the doctor did see Spence's eye is damaged after the Danny fight? Then he would have been suspended by the commission for a certain amount of time. So to play devil's advocate, if he passed the exam before and after the Danny fight, wouldn't that mean he didn't suffer an injury during the accident? Since the accident took place before the Danny fight?

But why would he need to have an exam before the fight? Again, fighters only get exams done a week or two prior to the fight. And after the fight? Unless they feel they are damaged or something is wrong with them? They do not get any exams done.

There are plenty of possibilities of when Spence injured his eye. Could he have injured his eye from the accident and it get worse from the Danny fight? Sure, could it have been worsened by the sparring that took place before the Manny fight? Sure, we just don't know.

maybe because he was in a car crash that almost ended his career and is signed to fight manny, the biggest fight in his career???!!!

wouldnt you wanna make sure you are 100% for the biggest fight of your career before you start the heavy training for it?????????????

You are talking about Spence specifically here, but I'm talking about just fighters in general. And maybe Spence felt fine after the Danny fight and didn't get go to the doctor.....Even if he did, no guarantee he got an eye exam done.

The doctor helped potentially save his career and more importantly his sight.
That's the thing.. I don't know who's at fault in Spence team for neglecting checking his eye sight. I just know when you get in a car crash like that. That's like being beaten down 100x in one night.. Something has got to give.. And some assume one of those is the detached retina..

The weird thing about it. .Why didn't the ophthalmologist of spence notice it before?

I have a friend who is an ophthalmologist. She said, a person should notice it that his eyes have flashes of light or something wrong with it.. That only means Spence hid it..

He didn't care, he wants to fight.. Brave of him yes, but dumb of him not to realize he can get blinded by that dumb action.. Good thing it was spotted..

But the damage has been done.. In the first place, he shouldn't even have signed a fight with Pacquiao. He just gave the boxing world a false hype.. Not cool at all..

            He's done.

Exactly, when you are looking for the biggest payday of your career. You make sure you are ready for war. A fighter should make sure he's 100% fit to fight.

Not knowing this before signing the Pac fight is just wrong and irresponsible of Spence and his team.. Unprofessional of them.

these foos making excuses!! when you get into a car accident like that... you still have to go get check-ups... i had a small fender bender and i wasnt even hurt but complained about my back (trying to get some money lol) and i had to go for a doctor's check up, up to a year!! so i dont believe that spence didnt get checked until 11 days from the fight. it just doesnt add up... why would you not get a full exam done on you and waited until 11 days out?

Exactly, they were trying to hide it. Brave of Spence to fight with a detached retina, but dumb of him to even consider fighting with that condition to sacrifice his career. There's so many ways to go with this.. But all leads to Spence being DUMB AF.

i've been saying spence and his team knew about it but they were banking on beating pac then they'll take the time off for surgery, etc... they were banking on a win over pac so spence can have leverage over the other WW's when he comes back.

but as the fight got closer, it wasnt looking too good for spence and so they pulled out... because i dont believe that he didnt get a exam done until 11 days out.
