Since my post I read his speech on Twitter or somewhere - Olympic Medal this, Olympic Medal that, I've accomplished so much and all that nonsense. Glorified journeyman. Nash out.

          Enjoy your retirement Luke.

Like others have said, he never really got it together as a pro but he was a brilliant amateur.

          Nice bloke as well.

I thought he still had some left in the tank, but I suppose he knows better about himself than any of us. Good for him, no reason to get punched in the head if you're financially well off not to.

3 of those four losses are to fighters most would lose to. Overall, a career with more wins than losses and a few title shots he never flamed out in. A solid B level career in which he likely set up his family for life. We all should be so lucky.

But? His Olympic Gold Medal is worth more than most boxing world titles knocking about today.

I think he has had a great career 'There where no lesser champions about for him to weasel his way into winning a world title'.

                Solid career.
His Olympic gold is worth more than most world titles today? If u claim that all these titles today on boxing are watered down, what does that say about Campbell, he couldn't become a world champion in an era where anyone can win a title

UK Olympian hype job fights everyone quits at 24 fights.

US Olympian hype job Wilder at 23 fights was fighting guys who lost their last six fights to fake a knock out record.

Easy to see why no one watches US boxing and UK boxing has crowds .................. truth hurts

99% of Boxers don't get to win titles and be seen as the very best.

98% don't get as close as Luke got.

Not bad, not bad at all. And that's not even mentioning the Olympic medal.
