You guys denigrate Pacquiao too much. He’d AGAIN be doing something that has never been done by beating Spence. Being the oldest welterweight champion(beating his own record), against the consensus #1 of the division. Who gives a *** if Spence is not an ATG?

I find it bizarre that you would ask that, in that manner, from my post. Spanish is my native language, English is my second. So I was second guessing myself as to why an American, who only speaks English I assume, would come up with such a specific question like that from my post. Like you asked it as if I said that, comparing Pacquiao vs Spence to Duran vs SRL. Just threw me completely off. Then you have an idiot quoting you saying “yeah that’s right there is no comparison!”. It would be an amazing accomplishment for sure. It would be a disaster for Spence and the future of the division though.

Anything less than a dominant performance and KO for Spence makes the current generation look terrible.

This fight doesn't even move the needle for me. If Spence wins, he beat old as dirt Pacman. If Pac wins, Spence is damaged goods. Either way, it's a useless fight. I can't understand the intrigue at all.

He apparently claimed it by beating Bradley, who was 2-1-1 in his last 4, and Pacquaio himself was coming off a loss. When a new Lineal Champion is crowned from a vacant perspective, it is when it’s the universal #1 and #2 fight.

There is no way anyone can logically claim that that was the case there, Pacquaio was coming off a loss for crying out loud.

Regardless, even if he was Lineal Champion at 147 (he wasn’t) this fight between him and Spence is definitely not to crown a new Lineal.

That would be even more illogical than making the winner of Pacquaio-Bradley 3 for the Lineage.

The Lineage at 147 has been vacant since Mayweather retired. A new Lineal Champion will be crowned when Errol Spence and Terrance Crawford ever decide to fight each other.

Simple as that.
