An old, recycled, way past prime fighter vs damaged goods. That's the actual reason the Pac team picked Spence. Pre-accident Spence obliterates any version of the Pacman.

      1. First, it is for The Ring title, and i’m pretty sure it will crown a Lineal champion as well. Both Ring/Lineal are vacant. The last fighter who held the Lineal title was Manny Pacquiao. But he vacated it due to inactivity.

      2. This an intriguing fight because it could be a “passing of the torch”, where Thurman failed. If Spence succeeds then we officially move on from the Money/Pacman era.

      3. If Pacquiao wins he will be Ring/Lineal champion again. This would put him among one of the oldest fighters to win The Ring/Lineal title ever. And probably the oldest welterweight to do it. Hopkins did it at 46 at 175. George Foreman became HW Lineal champion at 45. Pacquiao is 42, if he does it, I think it would make him the 3rd oldest fighter in history to win the Lineal championship.

      4. If Spence is damaged goods if Pacquiao wins, then boxing is trash. There is no such thing as a good boxer then and no fighter should get credit for a win ever again. If we’re really going down that route. Let’s not give any credit to any fighter.

      5. While Pacman is old, historically old HOF’ers need to get beat up to retire, most of the time. Sure you have Hagler, Mayweather, Marciano, Calzaghe, Vitali Klitschko. But most of the time, HOF fighters get beat in to retirement. No one has beaten Pacquiao up, barring the JMM KO, which realistically speaking, Pac didn’t necessarily get beat up there. Sure Pacquiao is old and past prime but someone has to show the fans that. Someone has to step up. Plain and simple. Bradley could not do it. Thurman could not do it. It’s up to Spence. If Spence can’t beat Pacquiao, you can make pre-made excuses all you want but for fans and media, that would be very impressive for Pacquiao.

So elitist boxing fans can play down a Pacquiao win all they want, but to most fans, they will give Pacquiao massive credit. As well as The Ring, and those who follow Lineages. It would be a highly impressive win. It is also a necessary win for Spence’s legacy. In order to move forward as an elite WW, he needs this win. Pacquiao is old and past prime? Okay, Spence winning will show this and then we can move on from the story of Pacman. We can’t move on if none of these younger welterweights can step up to the old guy.
It’s certainly NOT for the Lineage.

And Pacquaio has never been Lienal Champion at 147.

Pac picked spence as he thinks spence has weakness he can exploit. Shame bud don't think he can overcome spences strengths.
Boxing fans know this is candidate for best win ever. One of the greatest wws of all time srr wouldn't be even.expected to beat the best W W at 43, so if a former flyweight actually does it. It's got to be candidate for best win ever.
And put that on top of pacs resume and you got magic in a bottle

Not in my world only at all I speak on behalf of evryone. If you did things your not supposed to be doing is what make wins special.
That's why although Duran beating Srl or vice versa, or bud beating spence or vice versa are considered great wins. Theyre not special wins because they aren't doing things they're not supposed to be doing.
Bud beating spence you can say is a great win when bud retires. Pac beating Spence is special win, definitely a level or 2 above a bud win over spence.

I find it bizarre that you would ask that, in that manner, from my post. Spanish is my native language, English is my second. So I was second guessing myself as to why an American, who only speaks English I assume, would come up with such a specific question like that from my post. Like you asked it as if I said that, comparing Pacquiao vs Spence to Duran vs SRL. Just threw me completely off. Then you have an idiot quoting you saying “yeah that’s right there is no comparison!”. Suddenly, you turned my post into “this guy said Pac vs Spence is like Duran vs SRL.” And since it’s a fairly long post, no dummy will read it. They will go by what you read. Just bizarre all around. Americans need to get better at English comprehension. You guys have one language to learn, it’s really not that hard. I had to learn two languages.

Who cares? Why does it have to be greater than those fights for it to matter?

Boxing fans are unbelievable. The stuff they spew. Good lord.

i swear floyd fans aka pac haters always moving the goal post... before all this, they swear pac will never fight guys like thurman, spence, crawford, etc... well, that's 2 out of 3 right now... so now they making up excuses like thurman and spence is not the same anymore, etc. ignoring the fact that manny is also NOT the same anymore..

i swear pac gets hated on here more than anyone else... the man done about almost everything you can do and it's not good enough, while guys like crawford fights bums and gets praises as the best! lol..

I’m about to wikipedia your ass Iron. You should know this as a history buff.

“Manny Pacquiao is the first and only fighter in the history of boxing who is credited with lineal championships in five different weight classes (flyweight, featherweight, super featherweight, light welterweight and welterweight) by Cyber Boxing Zone, TBRB and BoxingScene.com.”

So I can't have my opinion? The thread speaks for itself. And who said it didn't matter.

I know what we can do. We'll all just agree and never mind all this typing. And fa ck off!
