What makes people think that bob will now all of a sudden make a reasonable effort at negotiations just because an ABC ordered it? he can tack on any demands he wants in his offer to porter, then spin the news as porter refused his "offer" yet again. then collude with other promoters to ensure the purse bid is even worse or nobody bids on it at all. Then the WBO will allow crawford to defend his trinket against a eurobum potato farmer of his choosing.

Well, this is a bigger match-up than Lopez/Kambosos. It would benefit TR to get this on ESPN, but it's also gonna cost much more than Lopez/Kambosos too. Based on Bob's previous comments, I'm not sure if he's willing to fork over the money, especially if Crawford decides to leave after completing his contract. I think PPV is the only way to prevent a purse bid.
