Why do some people pretend anyone at HW could beat Wilder?

The top 10 all outbox him, so I guess he has a puncher's chance.

The real issue with Wilder isn't deciding that he's no good, it's the fact that at nearly 36 with 44 pro fights including a heavyweight championship reign he's still unproven against top level opposition.

He might have the beating of them, but he never did it. He got fed Ortiz and that was about it.

If your power is the key to your success, that’s still success. You can beat top fighters based on your power and chin and not your boxing skills. Not every boxer needs to have the same styles. That would be boring. And low skill/big power boxers have always been a part of boxing. Since its inception. If you take a time machine to the 1900-1950s, we would most likely see many low skilled brawlers. Some of the boxers of the past that media/fans call ATG’s, looked like mere brawlers. But boxing styles developed into being “smarter”, and having a high “ring IQ” is now looked at as the standard for boxers.

I did not feel Froch was very good technically. But his power, chin and stamina allowed him to overpower fighters who are more athletic and more skilled than him.

The whole “he was losing before he scored the KO” comment is amusing from fans. It never gets old. Jermaine Taylor was beating Froch comfortably before Froch got the KO. Taylor was the superior boxer, more technically sound. Froch beat him by punching him really hard in the face. That’s boxing.

It’s like, the Red Sox were beating the Yankees until the Yankees, who strikeout a lot this year and don’t seem to have great players, hit a homerun to win the game. “Yankees can’t win if they don’t hit homeruns.”

So the Yankees can’t win unless they score runs? How obvious.

Lol. You can’t make this stuff up. Wilder can’t win a fight on skills, he needs to punch his opponent really hard and KO him. Newsflash, in boxing, punches win you a fight one way or the other.

The better question is why do some people pretend Wilder will beat anyone not named Fury, and use to pretend he will beat anyone period?

Why do some people pretend Wilder beating fighter X is such a forgone conclusion that he doesn't need to fight them?

Like Whyte who's a flawed fighter in his own right, but most certainly has a chance to beat Wilder and that chance is big.
So you are saying Wilder gets out of trouble by punching his opponent really hard and KO’ing them?

          - -Haymon using the TBA model of matchmaking giving Deyonce opponents only a few weeks to train for a title fight, and yet we still see most of them easily outbox him before he lands some stoopid hayemaker.

They had to give him extra recovery time in the first Ortiz fight. WBC Bridgerweight champ!

              Told you

              These dumbos dont understand

They think its all about technical skill

They dont understand things like being tougher, better stamina, more heart, working harder, stronger chin, etc.

Wilder looked real silly with his excuses and he has pretty much become a laughing stock. This has also led to fans giving Wilder a bunch of fantasy losses. Fury would whoop almost any HW in history. With his size, skills and movement. He’s a problem to any HW in history.
                Casual.

Fury is garbage. You think a guy that went life and death with Otto Wallin, was flattened by nobodies like Steve Cunningham and Neven Pajkic could compete against a truly great HW. No chance. It's a piss-poor era for the division and this chancer has taken advantage of that and casuals like yourself.

If this is the 70's he doesn't even get anywhere near a title shot. He's a bum. Lewis, Holyfield, Bowe and prime Tyson would **** him up for fun. Holmes boxes his socks off..he's garbage.

After getting outboxed for 9 rounds. If Szpilka avoided that shot like he did for the previous 9 rounds he'd have won. Any top 30 boxer has a great shot at beating Wilder if they make it all 12. He's that ****ing bad.

Probably because most fans only know a handfull of heavyweights off the top of their head but the truth is Wilder only loses to the top 3. Joshua, Fury and Andy Ruiz.

Generally speaking, once a guy gets beaten like that, other fighters learn to adapt. Now Wilder knows he can lose. If he keeps fighting, you will see other fighters beating him. Similar to what happened with Tyson. Wilder's cherry has been popped. When he fights Fury again, he's in for a total humiliation. I personally think he's going to have some sort of mental breakdown.
