Thomas has explained time and time again why he is against Affermative Action, just like Thomas Sowell and many other prominent blacks. A differing opinion does not make them "racist." in fact, calling everyone a "racist" who has a different political ideology than yourself is the reason the word has lost all ****ing meaning. Thomas was completely railroaded by the entirely white ********ic caucus in an attempt to keep him from sitting on the bench, were they just looking out for the best interests of "real blacks" like yourself?

Then tell me why did Clarence felt the need to switch is views by selling out to the white majority in America? He benefited from Affirmative Action for his entire adult life.

So why when he got his opportunity, he decided to close the door on other ********** who needed the same type assistance that he got himself? It's called hypocrisy?

Also, there were a whole lot more qualified justices than Clarence Thomas back in 1991. However, President H.W. Bush decided to select him only on the basis of his race. Which is not fair if you hold Clarence Thomas to his own standards. That race doesn't matter.

I never thought Wilder's intro was racist at all, It was what it was. I just found it more eye rolling when 10 minutes had gone by, and he was still slowly walking to the ring. But I'm also the same guy complaining before every fight that 3 ****ing anthems aren't necessary. Just get the fight started.

Back to your original point though, it's censorship. They have basically labeled an entire subcategory of american blacks as not worthy of having an opinion because they don't agree. It used to be "you're not black enough" now it's literally "you're a black white supremacist." It does everyone a disservice to act like this. I heard a few months ago that there was a documentary called "Uncle Tom" about Black *************/the black conservative movement. It's been on my watch list, but since my son has been born I haven't had much time for movies or books like I used to. Also, you're entirely right, Malcolm, Martin, Etc. would have seen through that BS in a second. It's censorship, trying to silence the dissenters. Fred Hampton was getting people from all races together before he was killed.

Saying he isn't racist is not the same as calling on people to boycott business corporations.

The race or skin colour of the people who own those corporations is utterly irrelevant, btw. Money is the only thing they care about and money is the same colour whether it's in the wallet of a black person or a white person.

What does “old media” mean? In regards to racism in the U.K., it has a different origin story than does the USA because Britain never officially had a system of apartheid like the USA did and the U.K. turned on slavery earlier than the Americans due to efforts of men like Equiano and Wilberforce. But the U.K. has its history of race riots and massacres in the 1919 riots in places like Salford, Liverpool, Cardif, even Glasgow….this was long before the Windrush generation arrived after WWII, and all the way up to the Bradford riots etc and all pints in between. And this is just riots, racism in the U.K. has always been described as “institutional”….I can remember vividly that one of our US Army generals was requested by the British government to go to the U.K. and recommend implementations to basically desegregate the British Army and fox the issue of only whites making higher NCO and officer ranks. I also remember the Iron Lady herself referring to Mandela as a “*********.” Its a topic worth researching if you fancy that sort of thing. The difference though for the U.K. is there has always been blacks in the British lands going back to the Africans who came with the Roman legions. Africans have always been present to varying degrees. If you ever get to England I recommend you go to an outstanding museum called Yorvik in York (Yorvik was the Nordic name for York) it has a sections of history that speak to the racial and cultural diversity of York and other areas of the Danelaw era of England.

It happened after US military officers tried to enforce racial segregation between black American troops and the local people.
