    Just being honest.
you’re gonna need some context to your argument. Mitchell beat Hopkins in hopkins pro debut. Mayorga beat Forrest right after Forrest beat the brakes off an undefeated top p4p fighter in Shane Mosley, making Forrest an undefeated world champion at 147. Not the same situation. Not to mention leading into that fight, Mayorga knocked out another undefeated champion in 6 heads Lewis who was highly regarded and favored at the time. End of the day Mayorga was a 2 division world champion who fought the best and has some solid wins on his resume. He may not be a hall of famer but his record is on par if not better than Gatti’s who is in the hall of fame.

Oscar still very bitter about the divorce from Canelo. Oscar also trying to hype his own fight. Maybe hubris makes him think some of what he's saying is true, maybe it's pure BS...who knows.

Mayorga was a handful in his prime, an uber aggressive, heavy handed wrecking ball with a granite chin and high workrate. He could be outboxed though and as he got older and less motivated, he was nowhere near as effective. His prime was going to burn out fast, it was inevitable.

Canelo is a different level altogether and he's had longevity and consistency in his success.

        • Campas
        • Sturm

Now, if you telling me that any of these guys on the list would've beat one of the best MW's all time, I htink you need to really take a deep breath and reflect on what you just said, calling GGG a caveman is not gonna make you look good when talking to someone who knows boxing, I bet you tell that to a trainer or a fighter and they will make fun at you.

Oscar wouldn't ever and I say this with confidence as a great Oscar fan because he was a monster LW and WW, Oscar wouldn't ever on his worse day would box the ish out of Canelo.

Hyphotetical matchup would've been at 154-160, at 154 it might've been a close fight but I think Alvarez IQ and slickness would've nullified him, at 160 I don't see how Oscar beats Alvrez, I just can't visualize it.
At 160 Canelo would knock him out but p4p Oscar is the better fighter. I imagine the Oscar that fought Felix frustrating the HELL out of Canelo. I’m a Canelo fan but that’s how I see it.

Mayorga was a unified welterweight champion who beat beat Andrew Lewis, Vernon Forrest and Fernando Vargas and people are pretending he’s trash.

This is why you protect the 0.

Who he beat but lil guys

I measure BHOP by his prime and the judging off the guys in his weight class in his prime,..He couldnt best Jermaine Taylor twice; Taylor was B Class at best, same with Pascal and Dawson all B class no better but yet bested Bhop...... The truth is BHOP was a 175 pounder that hung at 160 like GGG did to target Small fighters and WWs, outside of that he tried his hardest to duck speed and athleticism.....He could never deal with speed and athelticism since Roy; why he was busy ducking the match of his generation and boxing match of the decade over 60/40 when he got his ass kicked one time b4 but I digress,,,,,, More wizard than A level fighter dont get it misunderstood

BHOP gets little love in my books...Although a fan...Im a realist

Did you like the catchweights PAC had with Cotto, Margarito, Oscar and even Marquez?
As for gift decisions, what’s worse? That or fighting multiple guys that were coming off losses?

Ah yes, ol' Andrew "Six Heads" Lewis! Six Heads had some good wins on the way up. I remember when he beat Larry Marks and James Page before he faced off against Mayorga. Apparently, Lewis got his very unique nickname because he hit a guy so hard that the guy claimed he saw six heads on Lewis from being so dazed and concussed.
