Oscar didn't see the punches coming very well vs Mayweather or Pacman back when he wasn't in fishnets and 50 years old.

Today's boxing is full of BS with champions picking who to fight and basically running the show to their advantage. Back in the day we saw the best fight the best. Not this BS that is happening now.
You've got no idea what you're talking about. DLH fought an old washed Chavez, old washed Camacho, old washed Whitaker and old washed Hopkins, who he lost to btw. Then he fought Trinidad, Mosley, Mayweather and Pacquiao. And guess what? He lost to all 4 of them!! Canelo on the other hand at 23yo had already fought Mayweather, prime Lara, prime undefeated Trout and old Mosley. Add to that list Cotto, GGG twice, prime Danny Jacobs, Kovalev, prime undefeated Callum Smith, prime undefeated BJS, he's going right now for prime undefeated Plant for undisputed, and next year Reynoso has already said hes going for Beterbiev and Bivol according to Reynoso.
so how is that not fighting EVERYONE?! Prime Canelo would retire prematurely a prime DLH. Not even near the same level.

An in his prime De La Hoya could not beat an in his prime Canelo. Canelo is too sound a fighter and too strong. De La Hoya's best performances were against Mayorga, a washed up Chavez, Ike Quartey, Shane Mosley, and Vargas. Canelo would have beaten all of them too.....except maybe a younger Mosley (he beat an older Mosley).

I just don’t see how Canelo can catch a very mobile Oscar. Who had an ATG jab, chin, and very good movement. Now while Canelo also has an ATG chin/resilience and very great body shots so he could crumple Oscar. Both have stamina issues. I think Oscar would win 7 times out of 10. What do you say?
I do think Oscar was never great under heavy pressure and was never a good composed fighter, he relied more on his atheticism than on his IQ, but that just my opinion, Alvarez can keep his head cool under pressure, specially this prime version who walks down bigger guys, i do think he would set up traps and would smartly break down Oscar.
