That used to happen all the time in boxing. Now it doesn’t happen.

Humberto Aranda was Olympian who fought for a championship at 154 and fought a ton of huge names.

We would never see a prospect today fight anyone who had that kind of boxing talent in their third fight.

his third fight he fought a guy who ended up 37-16 getting ko'd 12 times

Oscar is doing everything as a promoter that he left Bob for. Cheating his former fighters out of money and bad mouthing them.

Well, we'll just have to agree to disagree, Trinidad while a very good boxer with a granite chin and very heavy pressure is imho not a better boxer than Alvarez, It's just my opinion but I think you giving Oscar too much credit for his boxing skills that while I do agree were top notch are not ATG status, Canelo is not a come forward pressure puncher like Trinidad, Canelo is a come forward pressure slick thinking boxer puncher.

I don't see what you do, but it's ok to disagree as long as we don't disrespect eachother.

I measure BHOP by his prime and the judging off the guys in his weight class in his prime,..He couldnt best Jermaine Taylor twice; Taylor was B Class at best, same with Pascal and Dawson all B class no better but yet bested Bhop...... The truth is BHOP was a 175 pounder that hung at 160 like GGG did to target Small fighters and WWs, outside of that he tried his hardest to duck speed and athleticism.....He could never deal with speed and athelticism since Roy; why he was busy ducking the match of his generation and boxing match of the decade over 60/40 when he got his ass kicked one time b4 but I digress,,,,,, More wizard than A level fighter dont get it misunderstood

BHOP gets little love in my books...Although a fan...Im a realist
although he was middleweight king for a long time, his resume there was really weak but he did beat trinidad and oscar. also he went up in weight and beat tarver, pascal, winky, and pavlik. you call pascal and dawson b class fighters but they were former lineal champions and to be the lineal champion u have to be the best at ur weight class, also he did all of this way past his prime when he became the OLDEST LINEAL CHAMPION IN HISTORY.

and off the eye test of vargas record, he was not. he lost everytime when it came to facin the top guys in oscar, felix, shane. he was a champion in one weight class and he never even won the lineal title.

I bet my girl at the time that trinidad would beat oscar, and she bet on oscar. The loser had to go down. So I'll always remember that fight. Thank u Oscar for running from Trinidad for the last 4 rounds.

I think so too. Like I said earlier I’m a Canelo fan. I’m also an Oscar fan. I think Oscar is super lame and snakey in real life.

I just don’t see how Canelo can catch a very mobile Oscar. Who had an ATG jab, chin, and very good movement. Now while Canelo also has an ATG chin/resilience and very great body shots so he could crumple Oscar. Both have stamina issues. I think Oscar would win 7 times out of 10. What do you say?
