How many PPV and ticket sales this does is important for the sport, not some petty argument between Pacquiao and Mayweather fans. It doesn't matter if Fire Power outsells this fight, what matters is that they both do well and they're both great fights.
Boxing is dying bcoz of fighters like Floyd. Asking for 15 M guarantee in fighting a lightweight while ducking the fights fans wanted to see.

dudes like you who say, "i want to see him fight the best," are really only saying, "i won't be happy till he loses..."

how do you give a dude grief for fighting the second ranked fighter on the p4p list, after a 2-year layoff?

How about Floyd fight Calderon? Or Donaire? These guys are in the top 10 on almost all the P4P ratings out there too, or he could have opted for a Hopkins fight as well, get what I'm saying? The P4P ratings are there to compare boxers from different weight divisions, so by you saying he's fighting the current #2 P4P who's currently campaigning in the lightweight division is legitimate, is a total hogwash. Everybody would have given Floyd all the props in the world if he opted to fight Mosley, who incidentally is in the division he's campaigning right now, now that's what I call a legitimate fight...

Ehem, Sugar Shane was available, who happens to be in his weight division too, but since there were a lot of well documented verbal/written challenges out there for a Floyd to pick from, he chose a midget for his comeback fight.

            Way to go Floyd!

I'll give you that, Floyd initiated 24/7, because he NEEDS it, and Pacman has been doing these movie theaters **** for 4 years now. No credit there...

All i have to say is Wladimir Klitschko can fight whatever bums he wants. His people will still buy the tickets and sellout arenas, even if he decides to have another go at Ibragimov. In the states they would probably pick it up too.
The problem with black people is that we are not racially conscious enough and the others will only buy a Mayweather fight they know he has big chances to lose. It's all about Mayweather losing for some people. This is clear as water. So at least his people should: Boycott other fights like others are doing to Mayweather. Buy the Mayweather fight. It's only fair.

If they didn't know who he was before.

They will after the fight. Love him or hate him, people are chattering about Floyd's comeback into the sport.

HBO reports that the March 15 rematch between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez generated 400,000 buys totalling $20.2 million in sales.

If Floyd vs Juan do better than 400,000 then all those that say Pac is a bigger draw should STFU.

If they do less than that then all those that say Floyd is a bigger draw should also STFU.

This is a fair comparison since it's the same opponent and Pac's fight was before the credit crunch.
