No wonder boxing is dying when 2 of the top 5 P4P fighters are clashing and all boxing fans want to do is slam the fight and come up with reasons not to watch it.

How many PPV and ticket sales this does is important for the sport, not some petty argument between Pacquiao and Mayweather fans. It doesn't matter if Fire Power outsells this fight, what matters is that they both do well and they're both great fights.

I don't care about which fight sells more. For all we know Cotto-Pacquiao could end up being a bigger mismatch than JMM-Mayweather. Cotto is the one going into the Pacquiao fight with a handicap of possibly having to fight with a bad cut that is not all the way healed up. Of course Mayweather has his rib injury and out of the ring distractions right now.

Of course it is...to the guy competing and opening his mouth stating he would sell more tickets then the UFC.No wonder why oscar said the pressure's on floyd.

Boxing fans need to watch this fight not buy it.What's important is the outcome. We're seeing a mega fight for 2010 in formation.

In terms of fanbase, JMM has Floyd dead to rights. Make no mistake about it come fight night, you will see a bigger pro JMM crowd then Floyd.

Just like Zab Judah vs Money.
              Just like Oscar vs Money.
              Just Like Hatton vs Money.

Baldomir vs Mayweather was a joke, Hatton vs Mayweather was only a fight to Mayweathers (few) fans and Hatton's army. Any one with sense knew Hatton was gonna get blown out. I mean the guy was gettin rocked by lesser opponents.

But yeah, if this fight was going to take place at a equally strong weight for Marquez, I think more of his fans would show up.
excuses, excuses, excuses and excuses. i'm tired of this one. marquez is gay. hes not only a canvass kisser but a guy kisser as well

Using your logic, two of the top 5 pound for pound fighters in the world,

who do you take when Hopkins takes on Vazquez or Mosley

and what does it do for the sport of boxing?
