This fight is getting a lot of hype now. A lot of people I know who don't watch boxing are talking about it.

Now they are doing everything to hype it or else they will loose money. They postponed the fight so that they will have time to promote it to get more PPV and ticket sales. Floyd even offered Pacquiao's camp to call him out and he will pay JMM 1 M to step aside. He realized this fight won't sell as he expected. Who's the fool now?

it matter because everything that comes out of floyd's mouth is about how much a draw he is. He has used the excuse of being too much a draw to avoid a lot of fighters. If this fight gets blown out of the water by pacquiao-cotto he will not have that excuse an all his excuses will be shown to be just that. The determination of the purse split for a fight is based on these numbers, and a crappy showing will leave floyd with no choice but to take less of the split unless he prices himself out of any big fights.

true yet completely irrelevant, how much they earn/make, draw, should be backstage info. Sure it's nice to hear from time to time, but comparing bouts and matchups, then making a huge deal of such details of a fight is ridiculous. This is boxing two individuals who practice their craftmenship day in and day out to prove who's the best at it, that's the sweet science of it all. These fights should be mega fights because of such "great" talent fighting eachother not the way the media is creating it to be, "mega fight" because of the draws and the millions being gained. That's corporate talk not boxing, such articles make it easy for people to forget the reason we're discussing the sport today...

What the **** are you talking about? This fight was made way before Cotto Pac was made! THEY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH EACH OTHER!!!

If PPV is where they base the guarenteed money then wouldnt it make sense that Mayweather gets paid more considering his fights with Hatton and Oscar sold more than Mannys?
