this is the most dumbest subject ever. As a fan of whoever, who gives a ****? As long as the fight is entertaining.

no matter what gayweather and his team would take to sell this fight, the fact remains that people dont want to see this fight. this is a great embarassment for gayweather and i hope that this will shut his bad big ****ing mouth

The fact that he's fighting one of the most well known fighters in the world in his comeback fight is going to gain him massive exposure.

Whether the fight sells or not, this will benefit Marquez, and he will be able to land bigger paydays afterwards.

400K on JMM/Pac II, the most ever for a fight under 140? What was Floyd's without Oscar and Ricky?

I don't see how him losing helps him really...especially if its one sided...

And the fight isn't selling well now...few ppl I've spoken to didn't know Floyd had a fight coming up...and they didn't know who the hell Marquez was...

The part of your quote in bold is exactly the reason why this fight, win, lose, or draw, will benefit Marquez. He will get the exposure he deserves. He is a virtual unknown to casual fight fans, at the moment, but that won't be for long.

If they didn't know who he was before.

They will after the fight. Love him or hate him, people are chattering about Floyd's comeback into the sport.

If this fight gets blown out of the water by Pacquiao-Cotto he will not have that excuse an all his excuses will be shown to be just that. The determination of the purse split for a fight is based on these numbers, and a crappy showing will leave Floyd with no choice but to take less of the split unless he prices himself out of any big fights.
what happened to floyd's pleading his people to back him up. i guess nobody heard him.
