Haney is the goods for the first half of the fight and after the 5th round he starts fading, it showed in the Gamboa fight when a old faded Gamboa was pushing the bigger Haney back in the second half of their fight. Old Linares did the same as well. Haney fans can act like Haney was trying to make the fans happy by trading with Linares but that’s a lie, he just gets sloppy after the first 6 rounds

Haney will be just like Felix Verdejo minus the power, first 4 rounds comes out blazing but after that gets stopped by anybody with a active punch output late in fights.

Haney better fight Lopez next and after that fight he will never be the same. Lopez going to turn Haney into the next Juanma Lopez

No doubt about it Ryan beats the dog ****t out of average Haney.

        Overall Haney sucks ass

Look at Canelo at 22, look at Floyd, look at Teofimo in recent years, hell even look at AB, he looked way more impressive than Haney ever has.

I’m not saying he’s a bad fighter but there is absolutely nothing special about him. No special attributes or intangibles, nothing to suggest he would even be competitive with guys like Teofimo, Tank, Loma etc.
The thing that suggests he would be competitive is the fact they haven't fought him. In Loma's case, he dropped the belt rather than defend it against him knowing a loss would cost him the Teo payday. Ryan walked away from the mando to instead fight someone else as well.

Time will tell. He looked vulnerable and beatable this weekend so lets see if he can get the big fights.

That doesn’t suggest that at all tbh and it’s not even relevant. I’m not talking politics of boxing, I’m just talking in terms of ability, I see absolutely nothing in Haney that would even trouble those three elite fighters (Teo, Loma, Tank.) The only one I even see him being competitive with is Garcia but he still gets knocked out IMO.

              I’m unsure on him.

He has talent with his speed and some good qualities, good jab, good defense, seems to have good skills

Like many fighters who try and fight with the same style as Mayweather is there is only one Mayweather, it’s an impossible task to emulate that style.

It's impossible to tell how special or great a fighter will be at 22years old. There is a complicated calculus at work that ultimately determines a Fighters ascension. But power is the least important variable... Haney will get a lot stronger. He has poise, great jab, he is diligent.

He is more than on the right track. All the guys in his class will have to see if their power follows them up... Juan MA and broner had great power and lot of good it did them. Lopez will grow out of weight class soon... what then for him? Tank? These guys will all get bigger... will their power carry? Haney has other things to rely on and will get more power naturally.

At least the 135 version of AB actually looked impressive whilst people were hyping him up as the future of the sport.

There’s no way in hell this kid could hang with Teofimo or Tank. Even Ryan Garcia walks through him IMO.
                  I said the same.

there really isnt anything special about him.

he reminds me of James Toney but without the natural ability.

i dont know if he cant become really good or p4p top 5 type of boxer but he has a long way to go.

No way... listen I thought Juan ma was going to crush it and I was wrong. Juan MA had power and relied on it... when his strength stopped he could not fight less physically. Haney has skills to fight less physically if he needs to do so.

Some guys depend on their strength to set up everything. Watch Usyk at cruiser... he does so much but he was a lot more physical... doesn't mean they are one dimensional Fighters but Juan MA needed his strength to work off of.

What are you talking about man?

You definitely can. The sport is littered with examples. You’re telling me you couldn’t tell Mike Tyson was special by 22? There’s literally hundreds of examples you could use.
