Manny isn't one of Floyd's best wins sorry. Manny was out of his prime, and no excuse makes up for it.
You disagree with a win over the #2 ranked p4p fighter who subsequently went to reclaim a ww title after Floyd retired?
Yet you count as a big win Manny beating Thurman who wasn’t ranked top 7 p4p and had 1 fight the previous 2 years- an MD over josesito lopez and hasn’t fought since.
your bias is ridiculous.
You want to keep giving Floyd full credit for beating past prime guys and it's not happening. He gets some credit but not full credit. Not my problem that you can't deal with it. If he had just beat the best guys in their prime you wouldn't have to make up all the excuses.
The next excuse will be that Floyd wasn't prime either right?Last edited by djtmal; 06-02-2021, 06:35 PM.Comment

You list it 3rd . Lmfao. You’re a clown.
Of course Manny counts. You’re such a f@g that you didn’t list Shane even though you made a thread opining Floyd had to fight Shane next, which he did. He wins and then you change up.
When manny was prime he turned down $40 mil. He also was scared of needles.
when they fought we saw exactly why he did both.

You see what I'm trying to do? Please tell me, lol. Because I have no idea what I'm trying to do, other than trying to figure out how 1) people overall view the top end of Floyd's resume and 2) what they may be seeing that I'm not seeing.
Once again, every fighter named was a CHAMPION and many of them were P4P. I see what you're trying to do. But no matter how you spin it. That's an excellent top 5 that only Manny can compete with amongst active fighters. Which is why Floyd is an ATG and a first ballot HOFer.
A lot of people listing the Canelo win at number 2 or in the top 5, I think it confirms my initial feelings. Also, fighting a champion or even a former champion in this era isn't saying much by itself. Basically every division, you could pick out one or two guys who have a belt who are clearly inferior or probably inferior to the top guy or guys.
Does Floyd have a bad resume? Of course not. Of his wins vs top guys, were those top guys in their best form or at their best weights at the time of the fight? Of course not! If you want to ignore that, go ahead. But it's obvious.Comment

The only guys who say it doesn’t count are diehard manny fans still upset he beat Manny so easy.

Manny ducks Floyd twice in his prime over needle fear and not getting enough ppv and then you hold that against Floyd.
shane ducks him over a toothache you hold it against Floyd. Odh refuses to fight him you hold it against Floyd.

Was he 30 vs ODLH and 35 vs Cotto? I think that's about right. And other than those 2 fights, I can't recall him fighting a guy bigger than him really. McGregor was probably the biggest guy he actually faced. Canelo obviously but when you put in a weight clause on the other guy it's hard to argue that you were the one who was disadvantaged on weight.Comment

But Floyd isn’t completely in this era. He was doing this in the late 90’s and early 00’s when things were different.

You keep making the point these dudes weren’t in their top form. Ok But when asked about holding them accountable for not fighting when they were at their best weights, you say you aren’t sure about the situation.
So please answer this- how is Floyd’s resume impacted by the top guys refusing to fight him when they were at their best weights and he wasn’t the cash cow?Comment

All I can do is evaluate what actually happened and what I saw/see. Who knows what would have happened had him and Manny fought 5 years prior. Or Mosley when Mosley wasn't 39. Or Canelo a bit older/not at that weight. Idk, if you start going down that path with every fighter, where does it end?
