The last 2 rounds he unraveled. That was the opposite of what I thought I would see against the older Linares. Haney’s defense really isn’t very good, he’s got great reflexes so he mostly gets away with it but he’s going to get tagged. If he can’t recover, like he couldn’t recover last night he’s got real problems as the competition gets tougher.

You're inadvertently proving that his fights before then didn't establish him a top notch fight. If they were as valuable as you're making them out to he, you wouldn't have predicted a wash out.

He is good fighter who needs to prove that he is great. So far he is ahead of the pack, but not so far ahead that he can dismiss their challenges as "They need to do more."

The problem with this era is young fighters taking this approach the moment they get one marquee win. Suddenly getting obsessed with that A side, B side bull****.

FICKLE is the perfect way of describing Boxing Fans! You see it daily on this Forum how fans just flip flop and set standards based on if the like the fighter or not

If you're a Boxer, Like Mayweather do what YOU WANT in and outside of the ring and not WTF you think Boxing Fans want because what some of us want changes so much that it is just IMPOSSIBLE to please Boxing Fans! Target New Fans instead of trying to please or appeal to Old Hardcore Boxing Fans with our unrealistic and constantly changing Expectations...

If a Fighter Box and Hit and Not Get Hit: "BORING! He Should Stand And Trade More..."
If he stands and trade more: "His Defense Is Terrible He Should Use The Ring And Move His Head More..."
If he schools his opponents and put on a master class Boxing lesson: "He Didn't Get The Knockout He Has No Power"
If he scores the knockout: "Well He Was Losing Before He Scored The Knockout, If he Didn't get the KO he would've lost"
If he puts on a Master Class and Gets The KO: "Well He Wasn't Fighting Anybody!" "He Is On PED's" "Fight Is Fixed"

So yeah Boxing Fans are impossible to please so it would be wise for Fighters not to try. Instead Market yourself to and try to win over and build up and bring NEW FANS to the sport. You don't NEED the Approval of us Hardcore Boxing Fans to become a Draw and the Paul Brothers are Primary PROOF of that!
