The reality of the matter is wins over opponents of that level wasn't respect for the likes of Khan, Broner, Alexander etc.

He has one exceptional win and a few good wins. It isn't enough to put him ahead of the pack where his competitors need to prove that they deserve a shot.

Stop gurgling his juice and look at things objectively.
Look e-thug. Go back and look up Lomachenko vs Lopez threads, I was giving Lopez 0 chance and predicted he'd be humiliated and ruined. So i'm not sure where all this crap about me being biased is coming from. You're coming out of left field getting all emotional over poster's opinions of fighters.

You're not a damn kid, stop picking fights against forum members you don't agree with on the internet. If I was 16 like I was when I started posting here, I would have been all about challenging you to a fight. At this point, I am a 30+ year old county sheriff's deputy who does IT work on days off and post here for fun. My job consists of dealing with murderers, burglars and rapists already, and confronting that on a daily basis. So you can go on with your internet thuggery. You do not know how silly you look trying to be tough against me on the internet. Lol, you tell me to shut up or that i'm gurgling another's man, dude i'll grab you and break your arm then you will sue me and cry that you're a victim of police brutality. So go somewhere else with all that.

I like Haney. He was in a fight with a veteran.

      Kid has balls.

Young humble young kid who can fight. He will only get better now.

Now he needs to keep fighting real opponents.

Haney reminded me of Anthony Joshua when he gets hurt, he stayed hurt for a long time. Hopefully for his sake it's a one off because otherwise that will cost him at some point.

Thought it was a good fight, Haney looks really sharp early, I thought it was obvious he came in trying to make a statement and it almost cost him.

Linares may have dropped Loma, but IMO that was way more of a flash knock down which Loma walked into and didn't really rock him at all, whereas Haney was near the edge, if it wasn't on the bell Haney looked to be getting dropped or worse. Plus his ability to recover or maintain control while hurt was shown as pretty average.

Not sure where the hate is coming from though unless its just partisan BS, he was going for the finish instead of playing it safe and didn't quit, its not like the WBC situation is his fault, blame WBC & TR for that if anyone. Haney definitely has some things to work on, though he's not alone there either, Ryan got dropped by Campbell, Teo got outclassed and looked vulnerable when Loma actually started throwing punches, thats OK too, makes it exciting.

Haney went in the fight with bad intentions but didnt do himself any favors by the way it all ended up. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Haney is full of talent but he doesnt have that killer in him. He is better of just being a boxer and I'd respect him more.

Canelo was handed a vacant title on silver platter by the WBC and still looked like **** winning it. He was then handed a string a pathetic showcase title defenses against Rhodes, a million year old Cintron and Alfonso ****ing Gomez.

These days, he's considered a pretty damn credible champion in my opinion.

TLDR: Haney's win over Linares makes him a far more credible champion than than p4p #1 was at this point in his career. It's early days for Lopez, Haney and Garcia and none of us knows what the future holds for them.

I don't really care who people like more between the lightweights but that's really where the majority of the backlash comes from. It's just emotional involvement.
Yeah this. PBC, Top Rank and DAZN all want to keep their top fighters off of each other's networks so the WBC is just creating new titles left and right. The reason its being allowed to happen is that ALL OF THE BIG PROMOTERS ARE FINE WITH IT. Arum and Hearn may mouth off to the press about the injustice, but the fact is none of them want to enter a purse bid situation where one of their stars has to drop a belt or fight across the street. Look at how Arum reacted to Hearn bidding on Lopez-Kambosis!

The guys in charge can do PR and talk all the **** they want to the press, but no manager or promoter is going to let Lopez, Haney, or Garcia fight one another yet. These guys are all potential superstars and they're all going to be guided to make the long play to those superfights.
