Linares did not come in the shape of his life. In the Fight Hub video after the fight he said he was tired early.

Haney was getting caught from the opening bell. Linares was catching him with left hooks in round one and his problem was he kept trying it instead of mixing it up to the body and sneaking it in. If Linares would have been more active; he even said it himself, he could have stopped Haney early.

Linares is not a big puncher lmao. He caught Loma with a probing right hand, just Loma walked into it.

Haney is shet and they been protecting him. Two rounds to recover from one shot and this kid is runnin and huggin??

People might be mad at Haney for the way he won a belt but in an ideal world Lomachenko would've just had to fight him and got him out of there. WBC did this. Why are we mad at the kid because of the corruption that has been the sport for most of it's history?

That's what I don't get. We've seen a lot of guys get elevated before so this is nothing new. The response here is crazy.. Anyway, Haney can really box beautifully at times. I don't really care who people like more between the lightweights but that's really where the majority of the backlash comes from. It's just emotional involvement.

well people called calzaghe a big puncher. i mean linares is obviously a bigger puncher than calzaghe. being a sharp accurate fighter can lead to knockdowns but most of the time his opponents have clear heads when getting hit with his big shots/when he knocks them down. they arent wobbling all over the ring haney style. if you look at all the decent figthers he fought at 135: couldnt ko/badly hurt crolla who has been ko'd by loma and derry mathews. couldnt ko/badly hurt campbell who garcia ko'd. eventually ko'd mitchell late basically off of accumulation/he took a knee but mitchell got absolutely plonkered by katsidis, ricky burns, and borroso. not seeing him as a big puncher. its possible we might see haney forcing his opponents to wear pillow gloves from here on out.
