    I’m not.

People and media were lying through their teeth for months claiming this fight was agreed, done, sealed etc etc. It wasn’t.

Hopefully all the clickbait, fake news propaganda storm finally ends now.

Not at all. I posted only yesterday that it's not done until they are in the ring. This always had an air of uncertainty about it and would have continued to do so until the bell rang.

The thing is, nothing says it can't go ahead. It's purely a financial matter for Fury.

So the real question is, if Fury withdraws from the fight, is it a duck?

I can’t think of too many things that could surprise me anymore in boxing.

It truly is the theatre of the unexpected.

Withdraw from what fight? No fight has been Fury and AJ has ever been confirmed/announced.

I know you don’t like Fury but this is majorly reaching man, he’s literally been ordered by a court to rematch Wilder.

I've been a Fury fan for a long time. I just think his behaviour post Wlad has been well below champ material. It baffles me that people still fall for it.
              • Pulled out of a rematch with Wlad
              • Tested positive for PEDs
              • Pulled out of an ordered rematch v Wilder
              • Requested and then pulled out of an ordered Diamond fight with Whyte
              • Pulled out of a contracted rematch (seemingly) with Wilder
              • Failed to defend a belt. Ever.
Yet somehow he's the lineal champion, the best in the division, the champion destroyer, the mental health hero... How much more do you need to see? Is anyone starting to contemplate that maybe he's just all the things that you see - someone who pulls out of fights, takes PEDs, breaks contracts, and doesn't defend his belts like a champion should. It's all there right in front of you.

All parties have confirmed there is a contract sitting there waiting to be signed. If he pulls out, he's pulled out. And I say 'duck'.

He hasn't been ordered to fight Wilder. He's been ordered to fight him or pay damages for beach of contract. His choice now.

Fury's team might be disappointed by the outcome, but they won't be completely blindsided. They knew this was a possibility - now we wait to hear what they have to say.

I was surprised it fell apart, I had assumed, wrongly it seems, that Arum was competent enough to not allow this situation to arise.

I mean if your fighter is subject to a rematch clause, you either have to abide by it or make sure you legally sound before moving on, which would appear was not the case. Who knows, maybe it was Fury not accepting Arum's direction that got us here.

The end result sure looks like Hearn went out secured one of the biggest deals in boxing, in a pandemic, for the first undisputed HW fight in decades without any material help from Arum or Warren while Arum can't even handle a rematch clause successfully.

Its not a great look for TR.

That said, Fury was in the position where no matter the arbitration outcome, he had a big fight lined up.

                    Scummy? Absolutely.
Unification duck? Yes if he ducks it.

Fans should remember who tried to give fans the fight they wanted. And who played boxing politricks for their own gain.
