After Hearn pretty much went to bat for Saunders after Saturday night and in doing so he showed favoritism towards Saunders and he did not give Canelo the credit he deserved for beating Saunders. Canelo's tko of Saunders, if one listens to Hearn, Canelo did not tko Saunders, but Saunders had to retire to due an injury. Hearn trying to separate the 2 even though the injury was caused by a punch from Canelo.

Canelo needs to get away from DAZN and Hearn and go to where he will be respected. At least Golden Boy always stood up for him and was a staunch defender of him. Hearn on the other hand is always going to favor English fighters and DAZN over Alvarez. The English fighters and promoters have an elitist attitude and belief system. They have a very inflated ego about just how good they are which flies in the face of reality, examples are C. Smith and N. Cleverly. Even when they lose they still behave as if they are better than everyone else and refuse to give respect and credit to fighters they lost to Hatton and L. Smith are just a few examples. In sum Canelo needs to get away from these English promoters, who are worse than American promoters, and go to someone who does not look down on him.
Weird. Everyone was satisfied with the event last week. Canelo said in his own words that Hearn did an amazing job and has nothing but praise for him.
Hearn was accused of showing favourism for Canelo, not sure how you perceive the opposite.

And of course the post was liked by oldskoolg. Such an obsessed weirdo lol.

      That dude makes me laugh

Notice how he likes the post you quoted, but the next post from the same poster, where he said Haymon ruined boxing, he didn't like

That guy is definitely a weirdo lol. He is weirdly obsessed with Hearn, constantly hates on him and DAZN and I think its mostly because he perceives it as a foreign invasion or something. Hates on brits, defends everything that is coming from the US, obsessed with race, accuses everyone who is critical about PBC to be white supremacists.

You find him in every thread that involves Hearn or DAZN. Literally.

I can’t believe anyone watches Dazn. We need them gone. They fractured boxing 3 ways

Unless, there is a purse bid or If one of the PBC fighters decided that they want to go work for Eddie Hearn on DAZN then fine. Let them leave but they would have to drop Al Haymon's belt first before doing so. He would strip them and then drop them off his roster for being disloyal if they did; Which is why Caleb Plant is staying put. Besides, you never believed that Al Haymon would allow Eddie Hearn to get his hands on his IBF Super Middleweight title now did you? You are a lot smarter than that. The fact is Al Haymon has leverage over Edde Hearn in this instance and he plans on using it to the fullest.

The fight should go to whichever network guarantees both boxers the highest payday, whether it’s via PPV or subs, as long as they make their highest payday. For a fan like myself I would be watching it on an app if the fight ever happens (I don’t believe it will), if it’s on DAZN then it’s part of my sub, if it’s on Sho/Fox then am getting a stream. Either way it’s on my apps…

I've read estimates for the Saunders fight as being $35million for Canelo and $8 million for Saunders.

Agreed. To piggy back on what you've previously said, from what I understand, DAZN didn't have a contract with Canelo. DAZN had a contract with GBP and GBP had a contract with Canelo. DAZN would pay Golden Boy, GBP would take their cut and pay Canelo.

Canelo's had his issues with GBP but didn't seem to have an issue with DAZN. Removing GBP allows him flexibility and allows him to maximize profit. He also seems to be copacetic with working with Hearn since he wants him to handle securing the Plant fight regardless of who gets it.

100%. I will be watching it regardless. I'd prefer it to be on DAZN only because that means no PPV (and less money for me to spend). If it is PPV, I would rather Showtime got it because they have the best commentators in my opinion and I like their production. Regardless, I will watch it however it is presented.

Canelo sued because he wasn't going to be paid his guaranteed 35M to fight Callum Smith or BJS. Any contract issues with GBP stemmed from any extra pay if he eventually fought GGG. That was solved in early 2020. Canelo was going to fight BJS in May and GGG in September.

DAZN was solely responsible for the lawsuit. They refused to accept BJS or Callum as premium opponents. They wanted him to fight Masvidal or ODLH. Canelo would still be under contract with GBP if DAZN had honored their end of the deal. Simple as.

Yes I recall that (although I didn't recall the dates). However, based on what I read and saw, one of Canelo's issues was the how GBP communicated different messages and assurances to him and to DAZN (I believe that Coppinger noted that in an article but it may have been someone else).

The trigger may have been DAZN's actions but it seems the one that Canelo had the animosity to (and who suffered the most from the fallout) would be GBP.
