Only way this fight happens is if it is on FOX or Showtime and they wont guarantee Canelo what DAZN with so the cut and dry of it is that the fight won't be happening. They can offer Canelo a percentage of the car park tickets or what ever the BS back end money nonsense is that they always exaggerate.

I love how some of the youtube channels say fighters get backend money like 100% of concessions and ticket sales. Basically, the venue and vendors earn $0 on the event. Really funny stuff.

This fight is not a mandatory challenge where any promoter could bid. It's a voluntary undisputed fight for a title that Al Haymon currently holds; The IBF Super middleweight championship belt, which just so happened to fall on his lap and is also the title that Canelo Alvarez so desperately wants. He could shut all negotiations down if he wants too. So there's no way in Hell he is going to give that up because he has the upper hand. It doesn't matter how much money these other various platforms or promoters are willing to throw at it because it's not money that Canelo wants.

I know, they really expect us to believe that nonsense. And we can't disprove it just like they can't prove it but they run with it and it frees them up to add any amount of money they feel benefits the narrative of the day.

Ive had idiots tell me that even though Joshua got 18 million for a fight and Wilder got 2 for his it was actually Wilder who got more because of back end money that isn't documented or proven. Apparently Wilders % ofcarparks and peanuts revenue added up to about 20 million Dollars.

It is quite obvious that Al Haymon looks after his fighters financially with what I would call loyalty bonus payouts as well as fight earnings and fair play to him for that but because the amounts are kept quiet the morons can run riot with it and make any old crazy numbers up.

Why look forward to such fight where there are other low profile fights more worth watching out there?

If Plant is not showing desperation for this fight, why expect the Mexican who has more belts and more money?

And as we've seen in the last 2 decades, fights don't always go in linear fashion. Takes years to see big fights happen.
So why change it now? This is not even a big fight. It's a huge mismatched fight. Absolutely no benefit for fans.

It's because Canelo is trying to make history by becoming the world's first Undisputed Super Middleweight champion of Mexican descent. So the question is, would he like to keep that ambition in intact? If he so, then he knows what he has to do.

He is going to have to play ball with Al Haymon or there will be no fight and he knows that. In addition, at this point the PBC has leverage over all other competition because they hold the one belt that Canelo currently does not have and desperately wants and that is that IBF Super middleweight title.

So if DAZN or any other platform attempts to strong arm Al, then he could just as easily freeze Canelo completely out of the picture and he won't be allowed to make history at all. So if Team Canelo is smart, then they would call off their dogs and tell Eddie Hearn and DAZN to stay cool and allow Al Haymon and the PBC to promote this fight or run the risk of sabotaging it for good on a very easy and winnable fight for Canelo Alvarez on Mexican Independence Day.
