Kovalev only staying in one weight likely hurts his legacy.

GGG did not set a record. If my memory serves me correctly one of those titles was a secondary belt.

Not to mention he "set a record" yet in all those title fights has ZERO legacy wins.

He tied the record for most consecutive title defenses at 160 and then set the record for most 160 defenses overall.

          That's not nearly enough information.

I know Lennox had a mando with Ruiz that he ducked out of to fight Grant. That's easy. It's easy to look at WBA ratings in 2000 as well. WBC is less so, and the IBF kind of doesn't matter because that's like right at the same time as the FBI nonsense and purchased ratings.

Point is, what earned Grant the spot and not Ruiz? His resume isn't exactly great..his unterbelts are nothing special either. John by contrast doesn't have much but without more narrative and atmosphere it looks like, to me, Ruiz has a champion on his resume by 2000 while Grant's got a couple decent contenders. They both top out as NABF champions on the unterbelt front, and Ruiz is the one whose number one rating is made very clear in every background for Lewis-Grant online but Grant's rating is not so easy to find.

To be clear, I'm not saying you're wrong I'm telling you just telling me Grant earned it is a bit **** given there's **** all evidence to suggest it.

The guy that fought the most world champions and most P4P top 10 fighters ever was a scared little girl?

He was undefeated, 6-foot-7 and beat Andrew Golata (although Golata was up huge and quit for some reason I still can’t figure out.)

John Ruiz had three losses. Two of them came to much lesser competition than Lewis and the third was a 19 second knockout loss to David Tua.

John Ruiz being named a mandatory was absolutely laughable and only happened because of the WBA’s relationship with Don King.

He was definitely scared of 160.

160 fighters weigh 170+. Who are your favourite fighters? If they aren't doing what you demand Jones, Mayweather, Canelo to do then you're an hypocrite.
