But then it's also proof of how weak the division is. Fury has a pot of glaring flaws still which would have been caught out if he was more active. It's been 13 months since he last fought and before that he had about 5 fights in five years. And 4 out of those 5 were against guys nowhere near the top 10. Fury still has some ways to go.

Fury has 2 very impressive wins, but I'd like to see him defend his belt against a top contender 5-10 times as well before putting him up there. A lot of great champions lost to an underdog once they had to do that and it's a tough test of just how great you are. The next Rahman or Douglas or Andy Ruiz is just around the corner

In total Mike Tyson had 12 successful championship fights, resulting in becoming undisputed Champion and two time world Heavyweight Champion capturing the WBC and WBA Heavyweight titles for the second time etc

Tyson Fury has had one fight at elite level where he won in emphatic style and that fight was Wilder II. The first fight against Wladimir Kiltschko was hardly a beat-down 'He merely stole the fight and bamboozled Kiltschko. Mike Tyson was brutally decimating his opponents when he was the champion, Michael Spinks did not fight again after being obliterated by Mike Tyson within 1 round etc

Tyson Fury is up there, but really? The man has been a very poor champion. And even if he wins against Joshua, he is not clearing out no division 'He will disappear, I do not think he wants to be a champion taking on all comers'.

What everyone seems to forget is Lewis didn't have many elite wins,most the wins he had were against past it fighters, same thing with most great hw champs,hw isn't like lower divisions where guys can fight fighters from multiple weights. Fury beat 2 of the longest reigning champs,add up the belts from both fights & Furys undisputed,add AJs scalp to his mantle & hes unequivocally the far away best of his era by miles(something only Ali can say basically sortof,& Maybe Foreman,Marciano & very few others)
