If he beats AJ you could make the case his big top level wins were better than Mikes. But in terms of depth Mike is far ahead. - Holmes, Razor, Berbick, Tubbs, Bonecrusher, Tucker, Bruno, Pinklon, Michael Spinks, Carl Williams, Botha, Stewart would all be top 5 opponents on Furys resume.

You have to factor in CONTEXT of the time.

Tyson Fury for the most part of is career was fighting at British Level - European level fighters then suddenly BAM? He fought at elite level vs Wladimir Kiltschko, and he has only had 2 fights at elite level. Take out Fury's two wins vs Kiltschko & Wilder, and David Price's resume is comparable to Tyson Fury's.

You can mock the fighters Anthony Joshua or Mike Tyson faced, but they were consistently fighting at elite or world level.

All of those fighters you have mentioned on Mike Tyson's resumed are world level fighters, then you had super elite level fighters like Michael Spinks. Tyson Fury has had 2 fights at elite level, not many fights at world level 'Chisora is the higher end of European level, as is Wallin who has beaten nobody accept a out of condition Breazeale'.

Fury's third best win was a draw. That's how good his resume is.

I've always been a fan. He's a northerner and I like his arrogance. He alternates between being a bit of a character and a nobhead.

But you've got to see his resume for what it is. The win against Wlad has been rewritten as a one sided dominant win. It wasn't. It was a great win but was literally a handful of punches from going the other way. A rematch would have confirmed whether Fury really did have Wlad's number... the long reigning champ never got his contacted rematch.

His only other noteworthy win is against Wilder. No-one really knows how good that win is, because Wilder was completely unproven. Incredible considering how long he was a champion and how many pro fights he had. I'm going to say that Wilder is a top 10 but not much better. If he was better... his team would have given him a decent opponent!

If Fury beats Joshua then fair play to him.

Fury is tough to handle for anyone throughout history due to combo of skills, footwork, upper body movement, jab, weight, height, heart and reach. He's a massive, massive problem. But I don't know if he'd beat Lennox. Lennox is probably the only guy who I would have as a favourite over him tbh. He was as strong as an Ox with a long reach and amazing jab.
