Where is your proof of this?

So far your only proof of reasoning is: THey havent done it before.

You can write a CONTRACT up any way you see fit.. as long as both parties sign and agree... it is legally binding.
Hopkins deserves more at this point yes or no? It isn't 2002, it's 2009 and Hopkins is more relevant.

Also good ideas come to fruitation. Why do you think it has never been done in a big fight? There surely is a reason for that.

They went back and forth like this a while back on bo xing talk, same old thing. Hop said GBP came up with a 50/50 deal. Roy got mad because it was only 50/50 after GBP got a cut off the top first. They wont ever fight IMO.

winning the bout itself aint enough for bhop; he's trying to teach rjj a lesson. its payback from when rjj was on top and acted like a spoiled brat.

It would make more scense for hopkins if the formula was 50-40 for bernard with the winner getting the remaining 10 percent

Roy needs to accept this fight knowing he deserves less. Not thinking that he could get more than Hopkins if he beat him (which he would not). It's a mental thing more than anything, and Roy needs to accept knowing that he is being dictated to and not vice versa.

Then why did he offer Roy 50-50 2 years ago? and then change the contract when he sent it?

If you wanna talk about business, then talk about business... Bernard may be more relevant, but Roy puts asses in seats himself.

              He did 500k with Tito.

              Bernard-Joe..FREE HBO

Roy - Joe - HBO PPV

On top of the fact he holds the most convincing win of your career over you...

60-40 to the winner is FAIR.. especially considering how "shot" Roy is.

                Then PROVE your better...

Because against Roy, hes never proved it.

PROVE IT... WIN THE FIGHT, BEAT ROY.. and TAKE your 60%.

The way I see is that Roy is the one that doesnt want the fight, even if he took 40%, it has to be more than what he makes against Lacy, Sheika, and now Green. If he beat Hop then he would really be in high demand.

No, it cannot be called a bonus as the money would come from a deduction of the losers purse. The situation is equal in principle. If this could be done and in one of the biggest fights ever there is no bussiness regulative reason Jones proposition can't be done neither legal nore conventional. What you at most can claim is that it is unusual but it hardly seems enough reason to discard the proposition does it? With the same reasoning we could disregard the whole idea of a rematch because it's unusual that they take place after sixteen years?

Hopkins has beaten Roy's conquerors. The guys who were rated as better than Roy. He could also do it against Roy homself for 60-40 off the bat. The Calzaghe PPV wa salso a bust eventhough it had a 24/7. Matter of fact I remember eeading that HBO considered making that fight a 24/7 a mistake.

Also tito sold the fight and was the draw ther. Ffs Tito did crazy numbers against Winky Wright......How much did the Shieka and Lacy PPV's do?
