At that time Marco was the featherweight lineal Champ.......it was the fight that catapulted Pacquiao to stardom. It was a championship fight more IMPORTANT than any other belted fight in the featherweights.

Exactly. He wants to make a claim that theres a difference that lineal and alphabet belts are 2 different things so that Pacquiao's wins against "the man" in certain divisions shouldnt count towards his belt count. Ignoring the fact that they were the recognized champion at their division.
But if you go by that same logic he presented...Cotto never beat a world champion. Alphabet or otherwise. He's only won vacant belts.Comment
