Pacquiao is not a 6 division champ - cannot be seven division by beating cotto

Manny has only won legitimate world title belts at
112, 122, 130, and 135. although i do consider 140 to be a championship because he beat the champ (hatton) who had only the IBO title.
he never won any featherweight belts (only fight was a draw w/ marquez). why have so many people misreported this?

    - on a side note - this talk is a little ******. people complain about not counting the ibo title he won vs hatton, yet those same people would complain if we did include the 135 pound belt he won from david diaz, who was not a legitimate champ. The champ was corrales then casamayor. David Diaz won a vacant belt. People try to manipulate sanctioning body politics to their favour all the time and i don't think its fair to have it both ways

i think pac was the best fighter in his division at 118,130 and 140.
comparitively i think de la hoya was the best in his division at 135, 140, 147, 154 when he was champ.

He beat Barrera for the featherweight lineal title in 03 which was The Ring belt then.

Hatton was the lineal champ at 140 so that's another cchampionship.

Barrera had the Ring belt at 126 and was considered the recognized champ when Pacquiao beat him.

Barrera didn't care much to hold the belts at the time, he refused to pay sanctioning fees for the Morales rematch.

Even beyond Barrera holding The Ring belt, he became the true champ after beating Hamed, who was as close to an undisputed champion as you can come.

Naz was selective as hell with his opposition, but over the course of his reign defeated the WBO champ (Steve Robinson), IBF Champ (Tom Johnson), WBA champ (Wilfredo Vazquez, who vacated only so he could get the shot at Naz) and WBC champ (Cesar Soto). Politics were the only thing that stood in the way of his beating Hopkins to the 4-belt trick by about five years.

But anyway, Hamed to Barrera to Pacquiao is as strong a link as there is for recent world title lineage.

            TS is right!!!!!!!!!!

Lineal Titles and ABC belts are something different!!!!!!

Just look at the articles made about DLH RJJ,ect, ect here in NSB.

            Pacquiao is a 4 division title holder(112, 122, 130, 135) and 4 divsion lineal champ(112,126,130,140)

            So technically TS is righT!!!!

So by that same logic Cotto is not a real world champion because he's only won vacant titles. He never beat a recognized world champion.

Pacquiao is a six division champ.
                He won titles at 112, 122, 126, 130, 135, and 140.
The 126 lbs belt was the lineal championship. And championships are supposed to be defended and "The Ring Magazine" can be defended. Its not a trophy. It's a champonship.
The IBO is also a championship.
Hopkins held it at Light Heavyweight.
                Klitschko holds it.
Juan Diaz had it when he faced Juan Manuel Marquez.
N'Dou currently holds it. (At Welterweight.)
Mayweather even had it! At Welterweight.
So the IBO is most defintely considered a championship.
                Also the Ring Magazine.
Juan Manuel Marquez was called [automaticaly] the Linear "Champ" at Lightweight when he beat Joel.
I think I proved my piont lol.

David Diaz doesn't count. He was a paper champion. Packy ain't fooling anyone w/ that.

JMM won the lw title by beating the man in Casa.
