The 126 lbs belt was the lineal championship. And championships are supposed to be defended and "The Ring Magazine" can be defended. Its not a trophy. It's a champonship.
The IBO is also a championship.
Hopkins held it at Light Heavyweight.
        Klitschko holds it.
Juan Diaz had it when he faced Juan Manuel Marquez.
N'Dou currently holds it. (At Welterweight.)
Mayweather even had it! At Welterweight.
So the IBO is most defintely considered a championship.
        Also the Ring Magazine.
Juan Manuel Marquez was called [automaticaly] the Linear "Champ" at Lightweight when he beat Joel.
I think I proved my piont lol.
on that same note...floyd doesnt even count his ibo belt..if he did he'd be a 7 time world champion...go figure

That 'paper champion' only had ONE lose.
He beat SanTa Cruz who everyone knows beat 'the man CasamayOR' , ERIK mORALES, AND zAB IN THE aMATEURS.

Exactly. See the fallacy in your train of thought?? You cant have your cake eat it too. Either Paquiao is a 6 division title holder or he's not. If you dont think he is though you have to apply that same reasoning all across the board and not just single out Pacquiao.

                  112 wbc
                  122 ibf
                  126 ring
                  130 wbc
                  135 wbc
                  140 ibo

so thats 4 major titles(wbc, wbo, wba, ibf) and 2 minor titles(ring, ibo)

                  4 major titles + 2 minor titles = 6 titles

                  in how many divisions? 6

                    What?

Juan Diaz was the #1 contender not a champion.

                    Casa was the man.

David Diaz is garbage who got a gift over a shot Erik Morales.

Are you telling me David Diaz is a better fighter than Casa and that he was the man at 135?
