i never got into a street fight since boxing
but i only wonder how bad will the guy be knocked out and how quick

boxers if they can hit the guy before gettin hit then its their fight... but i think mma guys could fight in a street fight since its already like a street fight in the ring...

I skipped a page so I dont know if this has already been posted, Bruce Lee once said that if someone does 1 year of boxing and 1 year of wrestling they could probably beat most pure style martial artists out there and probably win a most streetfights...

Street fighting far too easy for a good boxer, most street fights are against a wanna be thug who throws wild shots.

You've just gotta take a step back, see an opening and them take them out with a heavy shot(under the chins my favourite)

i read a while back you where in some good streetfights can you tell us one or two of your own experiences?

yeah because most people panic in a streetfight and just start throwing punches as hard as they can.

let's not forget boxers enter the ring mentally/physically prepared and ready to go at it. if u get in trouble on a street, it can go so quick that it's only about who lands the 1st shot. And bare hands is totally different from gloves u break hands very quick. most effective weapons are elbows and knees rather than punches. I think a real big/though agressive and crazy guy could take any fighter with a bit a luck..a boxer can't block a kick to the groin or such stuff

I respect Bruce lee but he was more a stylist and an actor rather than a true fighter so all this is pure theory. I think if u really wanna know whats effective, watch MMA fights (which I don't especially appreciate it's often real ugly) a great grappler/jiu-jitsu expert with ability to slip punches will prevail, along with quick/big punches and kicks. Boxers are dangerous but limited in a streetfight. and the mental ability to unload at full power outside of the ring, well maybe everybody don't have it. I guess some boxers could be gunshy the first few seconds and get KO by a big crazy guy
