The fight usually ends up on a floor or in close range because both of the guys dont know how to fight and try to sort of wrestle their way to win. I fought couple of greeco-roman wrestlers in my time and even they tend to start fight swinging and than when they get tired start wrestling. By the way the best for street fights is combination of boxing and than any mlitary style wrestking or martial art. I used to take SAMBO.
boxers in a streetfight

a boxer would have an advantage in a streetfight if like 4-5 people were trying to beat a contender down, without weapons
no fight ive ever been in ended up on the ground, and im 6 ft 4,i guess i have the advantage on the ground ,but id rather stand and fight. then again ive been in less than 20 streetfights,so im not that experienced as others are
1 thing i do know is that if a boxer were to get crowded and the guys were wearing shirts/jackets it's the boxers advantage, shirt toss, box, shirt toss, box rather than have to deal with them all at the same time.only time i ever did this is when 7-8 guys crowded my friend for stealing a playstation 2, like 3-4 years ago, and the guys trying to beat his ass were my friends too(lived in my neighborhood),so I didnt wanna punch them..so i utilized the shirt tosses and it worked very well, when a guy would try to double or triple up on my buddy id just grab their shirts/collars and throw em, .if it's a bunch of guys without shirts i think it's safe to say you have a large problem on your hands

oh, no doubt about it, a 1v1 fight ruiz would **** most normal people up in a few seconds.but if ruiz were to get crowded by 5-6 guys,he doesnt have the speed or agility to knock guys down in a split second like say,roy jones or hamed would, although he has the strength to control the crowd via shirt tossesOriginally posted by SturmRulesi bet john ruiz could kick some assComment

do you think hamed who is 5'5 and 126 pounds would do good in a streetfight? bernard said he was in 100 streetfights, that's a lot i think bernard must be quite the streetfighter.Originally posted by Slipxoh, no doubt about it, a 1v1 fight ruiz would **** most normal people up in a few seconds.but if ruiz were to get crowded by 5-6 guys,he doesnt have the speed or agility to knock guys down in a split second like say,roy jones or hamed would, although he has the strength to control the crowd via shirt tossesComment

the thing about hamed is,barefisted his leaping right hands and leaping punches in general will knock u the **** out in like one shot, and he's quick enough to come in and KO 1 or 2 guys in the first five seconds of combat, plus he can take a punch, even if they crowd him and some guys hit him he'll still be swinging, unlike roy jones, would imo would get punked by 9-10 normal peopleOriginally posted by marvelous_TGdo you think hamed who is 5'5 and 126 pounds would do good in a streetfight? bernard said he was in 100 streetfights, that's a lot i think bernard must be quite the streetfighter.
george foreman would be the best guy for that type of situation,a prime or even an old george foreman could go up against 14-15 normal people just throwing haymaker hooks, maybe a few straight right hands, knocking em out with each shot, and had the chin to sustain punches while delivering his own
the only problem with this kind of mentality is that it never ever happens like this
if 9-10 guys are after you ,1 of em has some kind of weapon, flashlight, whatever the **** they can get.especially after they see how much of a badass you are dropping their friends with 1 punch and etc,im sure they'll find an 'equalizer'Last edited by Slipx; 02-25-2005, 03:11 PM.Comment
