This is the thing about MMA:

a trained MMA that knows how to grapple /strike and do takedowns well should kick a boxers ass if he's any good,(shamrock vs vitali, prime shamrock would own him on the street)

    but

a boxer has a better chance of taking out a crowd of 10-15 normal people while the mma guy's grappling and takedowns would mean **** here, and his lack of striking would be exposed and he'd get punked

any day the boxer is the better choice, more money in professional ranks, and more useful outside the ring.
