    boxers in a streetfight

how do you thinks boxers would do in a streetfight? i mean guys like kostya tszyu who is alight short guy but hits like a ton of bricks. Floyd mayweather seems to be a great streetfighter although he's short and light. do you think weight is important in a streetfight or are skills more important?

street fights usualy end up at really close range and on the ground with wrestling more than punching. so the bigger the better.

Speaking of Street Fights my friend is in the Israeli Army and he said the stuff they learned is called Krav Maga(Something like that forgive the mispelling). My friend is into martial arts and he said by far this stuff is much better suited for the streets than any other form.. Have you guys ever heard of Krav Maga?

yes and it is used by the israelian army, but it has a lot to do with how to dispose a guy with a gun or knife. but i don't think these things work in a streetfight.

they could easily hurt a guy much bigger than them. thats the thing, alot of non fight fans just dont understand how hard these proffesional fighters hit(even the ones that are'nt considered big hitters). the reason those guys in the ring can take world class punches is because they have world class punch resistance. a regular person off the street would be severly hurt by a power punch from a proffesional, especialy someone like tszyu. kostya and floyd could probably take a guy much bigger than them with ease, floyd's to fast for anyone to touch anyway

Tommy Morrison actually did well against Balboa in their street brawl.

These guys aren't called proffessional fighters for nothing. It;s true that most street brawl end up in grappling and wrestling to the ground, I have no doubt in my mind that these guys can catch anybody coming in for any type of tackle. All they need is to get you within range and lights out. No contest, boxers would own in streetfights.
