I've read it in Dan Rafael's blogs. Of course I don't like Rafael, because he is a little suck ass. But according to his blogs it was Pavlik's managers who made this fight happen.

P.Will ain't no big puncher @ 147 and certainly won't be @ 160. He's just a tsunami of punches, he drowns the opponent with his work rate. It's the accumulation of 'Punishment' that leads to most of his KOs. Carlos Quintana showed us he's not that invincible. We were just amazed to see somebody that big can get down to 147. Maybe we're just missing Tommy Hearns. Is he the second coming of the Motorcity Cobra? Maybe. But I doubt that he'll ever get down to 147 again, I don't think he could anymore after fighting three times at a higher weight. We have to remember Oscar is only 5-10 1/2 and he killed himself making 147. 6-foot-1 @ 147? He'd have rubbery legs just like The Hitman. And if he's matched against a solid, stocky boxer-puncher @ 147, I think he'll get KOed. His legs won't be there for him. Less leverage, less pop in his punches, less movement, and less stamina in the championship rounds. Maybe his chin will hold up but his legs won't.

              China chin?????

China chin? I'm sorry when did Pav ever get KO'ed or show us he had a china chin???? Taylor rocked him but umm we all know the story of what happened there.

Hopkins just outclassed him in every aspect of the game but never hurt him. If PWILL expects to go in there and KO him, he's going to have a very long night.

I just hope its a good fight! I dont care who wins. I'm a fan of both.

pavlik's chin is decent, not great or good, as somebody posted on here earlier. he has great heart though, but that shouldn't be confused with him having a "great" chin. personally, i wouldn't be too surprised if either guy takes a nap in this fight.....
Williams may be able to hurt Pavlik, we'll see on the night; but if he wins, it won't be because Pavlik's chin is weak.

And as a gameplan, focussing on trying to KO Pavlik would be a bad strategy. He just has to focus on outworking him, and using lots of angles.

Paul Williams taxed Margarito. with the exception of a couple of
hard punches Margarito landed, he NEVER controlled that fight.
Margarito was/is OVERRATED and I always said that. How can
people talk like Williams don't put his work in when the same
Williams who beat Margarito put the business on Miguel Cotto
after the fact? I watched the fight many times and it wasn't close.

Hopkins buckled Kelly on several occasions ANd he even said
I could have knocked him out but he decided to just out box
                    him.

You're entitled to your opinion but most boxing analysts disagreed.
