basically cotto is caught up because manny does'nt have to fight cotto.if the weight changes then there won't be a fight. they really don't need each other.manny can go to 140 and do ok. cotto just can't take the punch from a big welterweight anymore.

Cotto does has very good options besides Pacman, true that probably besides PBF, Pacman will be his biggest payday but Cotto can fight PBF, Berto, Mosley II and even Margarito II which will bring decent money to the table for Cotto and he has proven that he can take the punch at WW. He lasted 12 rounds against Mosley and Clottey fought with what could had been a guy with plaster in Maragrito for more than 10 rounds.

I respect your opinion but Cotto already proved that he can fight and beat Mosley once and Mosley is not getting any younger either. However Mosley can adjust to his previous fight against Cotto therefore the outcome can change in a 2nd fight but we will only know if they do fight.

On the Berto case i would agree that Cotto can take him, regarding Margarito although i agree that Margarito should not receive the pleasure there's another part of me that wants to se it happen because i beleive Cotto is skilled enough to beat him as he proved it in their fight until the possible "plaster" and not sticking to the gameplan affected the outcome of that fight.

Cotto is a true warrior. Cotto and Mosley need to fight to create a new lineal Welterweight champion (if he can get past Pac or if that fight doesn't get made). Anyone who loves boxing should be calling for the fight to be made).

And anyone who thinks Cotto will be dominated by Mosley just because of the Clottey performance is failing to take into account the fact that he was half-blind for 9 rounds. Taking that into account, his performance was very impressive, IMO.

I agree with this. He said AFTER everything was agreed to that, now he wants the belt @ 145. If pac wants the belt, he needs to conform to the boxing division categories and rules, NOT to bend them to his will, just because of his popularity and accomplishments. Screw this making a new belt-division ****.

Let Manny weigh whatever he feels best at, and don't limit Cotto @ his own wieght division as is traditionally defined as 141-147. And Roach...trying to originally get Cotto down to 143...no fear, hey? BS. Manny fought @ 147 before, let him do it again.
