Whitaker though past his best was still ranked in everybody's top 10 ans still looked at as a defensive genius. Camacho had only lost to Chavez since forever unless you want to use the first Haugen fight where he lost a SD because he was deducted a point for not touching gloves in the final round. These aren't double standards, but common sense.
Ok lets try it a different way. Would you say right now Whitaker and Macho were prime or very very close to prime when Tito beat them?

Tito at 147 was great. Greater than Pwill, people who argue that point have to look at the facts, he fought Campas and Carr when they were undefeated, he fought a Camacho who was still competitive, Whitacker still had some fight in him but clearly not the same fighter. Then after he beat everyone at 147 he moved up to 154 and went right for the gold Reid and Vargas, which both held belts at 154. Tito got beat by B-hop (arguably one of the best middleweights of all time), Winky, who had just gotten off his 2 wins over Shane Mosely, and RJ. Now as far as Tito from 147-154..the 1 prior to the B-hop fight he would be way to much for Pwill. The talent level of those fighters like DLH, Quartey and Shane was way better then the current level of fighters..just look Shane is still busting @ss and he is almost 40..that tells you something.

My point exactly I'm not saying PW is the greatest ww ever or even rank him above Tito but my point is how can anyone use a faded Whitaker as an example of how Tito handles slick boxers if you can't use Winky as a counter example.

I've already answered that question. Point is, they were both more relevant at 147 when Tito fought them than Tito was at 160 after only 1 fight in 3 years.

Why we're even still dsiscussing that is beyond me since PWill is not a defensive fighter but a guy who would be right in front of Tito the whole time just like he was with Margs and Quintana. Im still waiting on the answer to what fighters did Felix have trouble with at 147 an 54 that stood right in front of him? I've name two that gave Paul problems, and neither would be considered by anybody to be as good as Trinidad.

Winky as a counter example to what?..Pwill's win over Winky?..When Tito fought Winky, Winky was in his prime. And agreed Whitaker was the man, he beat DLH in my opinion.

You're not making any point because Williams is NOT a slick boxer.

Wait for the benefit of those of us to lazy to find where you supposedly said it. Were Whitaker and Macho prime or close to prime when Tito beat them?

No no my argument is if someone says Tito beating Whitaker and Macho is an example of how he handles slick boxers why is Tito losing to Winky not a counter argument of how slick boxers handle him.

Whitaker and Macho were past prime and that's ok? but a past prime Tito losing to Winky is a bad example?
